A Look at Fate Heaven's Feel Figures

A look at the characters of Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel

The term "Heaven's Feel" generally refers to the Heaven's Feel narrative route of the Fate/Stay Night series. All three routes tell the same basic story with a few variations here and there. If you ask which route is better, you'll get different answers from different people. Some people prefer Fate/Stay Night – Heaven for its darker and more horrific tones than the other routes, while some people might outright hate it. Or at least, they hate certain events that occur in it. Regardless, it remains popular and well-known among fans. Currently, the story is being released as a trilogy of films, with the third and final one slated for release this year. As such, many collectible products have been produced to coincide with the films. Let's take a look at some notable figurines that are or have been available for purchase on TOM's store!

Saber Alter from Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel in 1/7 scale
One way in which The Feel of Paradise differs greatly from the other routes is the appearance of fan-favorite character Saber Alter. Saber Alter is pretty much what happens when Saber submits to the dark side (that's a Star Wars reference joke, not a Destiny One one, just to be clear). If vanilla Saber's nobility and honor aren't your cup of tea, then Saber Alter might just be the waifu for you. And this pre-order figure, which is set to release in early 2021, is one of the ultimate collectibles of the character available. Saber Alter's strands of hair flow upward separately, almost as if lifted by an invisible dark aura. Her glowing black and purple arm has red lines running through it, reminding us of blood veins. Katsuyoshi Miyajima and Stronger put a lot of effort into sculpting the figure's base, which is much more creative than your average base. A puddle of goo caused by the Holy Grail expands to consume Saber Alter. But even cooler than this visual is the optional visor, which is cracked enough to reveal Saber's eye. It's a gruesome image, and it's awesome!

EXQ Figure Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel Sakura Matou
The feeling of heaven is also considered the way in which protagonist Shirou Emiya chooses Sakura Matou to be his main companion. That's right, Sakura, not Rin or Saber. And true to this love story, Sakura and Shirou even kiss in the movies. It's actually a really romantic and sweet love scene between the two of them. It's a shame that Sakura is corrupted and turns into an evil killer. But that's definitely not the side of her that's highlighted here. This figure of Sakura is as sweet and gentle as can be. She innocently holds one hand to her mouth while the other holds the hem of her pretty white dress. And she has such an endearing smile on her face. Please do what you can for her, Shirou!

Figure Sakura Matou Kimono version 1/7 from Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel
If you're looking for a little more magic in your Sakura figure than what we saw in the previous figure, look no further. This piece features Sakura Matou in a lovely kimono. Standing at 24 cm tall, Katsuyoshi Miyajima has once again crafted a work of art. Sakura's kimono features an eye-catching and intricate cherry blossom pattern. This makes sense, since her name is "Sakura," after all. It suits her perfectly. In fact, flowers play a big role in this piece. She's holding flowers in her hands very delicately, and there are several flowers in her hair. Sakura definitely lives up to the "elegant waifu" trope. Again, Sakura's expression is sweet and calm, as she's known to be. We think one of the greatest features of this figure is that her kimono actually covers the ground. Logistically, this provides a solid balance for the figure to remain upright. As an aesthetic, it's wonderful because it really gives the illusion of real fabric bending and flowing due to gravity. Since this figure was released a while ago, it's sold out and likely no longer in production. But enough fans want to buy it, Aniplex might answer their prayers with a reproduction!

Figma Fate/stay night: The paradise of sensations Saber Alter 2.0
Since we've reviewed two Sakura Matou figures, it's only fitting that we review another Saber Alter, for symmetry's sake. If you want more action in your Saber Alter, you can't go wrong with this figma produced by Max Factory, which is an upgrade from a previous Saber Alter figma. True to the flexibility and articulation of figma figures, this Saber Alter is able to bend her arms even in this bulky armor. She can even cross her arms so her hands rest on the hilt of the jet-black Excalibur. What's great about this Saber Alter is that she comes with three different face plates, allowing collectors to display her with a range of emotions. And again, she comes with a trademark visor that you can put on or take off. Overall, this is a great figure to create battle scenes with your other Servant figmas!
