About Akagi

Akagi is a collectible character from the video game Azur Lane and one of the main antagonists of the anime Azur Lane. Here's a brief overview of the character.

Background

Akagi is based on the Japanese aircraft carrier Akagi. She has long black hair and crimson eyes, as well as pointy fox ears and nine tails. Akagi has been featured in a few different outfits, but her default outfit is a white top with a white belt across her torso over a red mini-shirt and knee-length tights. She wears a long red overcoat over it, with red and black details and gold trim. Akagi doesn't talk much about her past, preferring to focus on her current task. She is a dedicated member of the Sakura Empire, often holding positions of authority. She is solely focused on destroying her enemies, doing whatever she can to ensure she emerges victorious.

Special Abilities

Akagi possesses a set of skills that allow her to gain an advantage over her opponents. Preemptive Strike allows her to reduce the reload time of her ship's first airstrike, allowing her to attack more quickly. And, when she is sent on missions with Kaga, another Sakura Empire aircraft carrier, the ship's aviation is boosted.

Other important characters in Azur Lane

There are many other characters available for fans to enjoy in Azur Lane. Those interested in history, especially World War II, can discover pieces of the past with all the creative characters on offer. Here are three other Azur Lane characters that are very popular.

Yamashiro

Yamashiro is an antagonist in Azur Lane, part of the Sakura Empire like Akagi. Yamashiro's character is based on the Imperial Japanese Navy's battleship Yamashiro. This battleship was known for being notoriously difficult to control, and Yamashiro's character represents this very well! She appears to be unlucky, her clumsiness representing the difficulties faced by the battleship Yamashiro. She is a playable character often seen paired with her sister, Fusou.

Belfast

Belfast is one of the main protagonists of Azur Lane. It is based on the real ship, HMS Belfast, which is one of the most important ships to survive World War II. It now stands as a museum ship on the River Thames in London. Belfast's character is the Chief Maid of the Royal Navy, who willingly takes orders from Queen Elizabeth. She is dedicated to her duties, being both proper and polite.

Eldridge

Eldridge is a character who appears in Azur Lane. She is based on her real-life counterpart, the USS Eldridge, which is a U.S. Navy escort destroyer. The ship's name is derived from Lieutenant Commander John Eldridge Jr. Eldridge's character in Azur Lane is mostly expressionless, but that doesn't mean she's emotionless! She isn't very talkative; her sentences are short and to the point. Eldridge even occasionally uses her hair to express herself, often shown as a way to convey her enthusiasm. In Azur Lane, she is part of the Eagle Union faction.
