Albedo Overlord - Figures

The Overlord franchise began as an isekai fantasy novel series written by Kugane Maruyama that was first published online in 2010, but was later printed in 2012 by Enterbrain, a publishing division of Kadokawa Productions. There are currently fourteen volumes of the light novel that have been released as of 2020. In September 2015, an anime adaptation produced by studio Madhouse began airing for the first time, and two additional seasons were produced in January and July 2018, respectively. With the franchise becoming a huge hit with fans, manufacturers were eager to jump on the bandwagon and made a variety of different merchandise for fans to collect. Fans are particularly fond of the figures of the character Albedo , the loyal succubus of the protagonist Ainz Ooal Robe. Among the handful of different figures of the character, some of the most popular are the "Albedo 1/7 Scale Figure", the "Albedo: Yukata Ver. 1/8 Scale Figure” and the “Overlord Albedo: So-Bin Ver. 1/6 Scale Figure”.

Albedo 1/7 Scale Figure

This F:NEX figure features the beautiful succubus Albedo in a seductive pose that has her leaning on a table with her knees bent and her hips swaying to the side as if to seduce her love interest, Ainz Ooal Gown. One hand is raised and plays with her long black hair, which falls over her arm and down to her hip. As a scale figure, it is packed with an incredible amount of detail to recreate Albedo as accurately as possible. Every feather on her black succubus wings appears to be individually crafted, as does every fold of her white and gold gown.

Albedo: Yukata Ver. 1/8 Scale Figure

This scale figure takes Albedo and gives her a unique, never-before-seen outfit. Her white and gold robe is replaced with a bright purple yukata with a spiderweb and butterfly pattern. The yukata is tied with a brown and pink obi. Her signature black wings sprout from her waist and wrap around her body as she gazes longingly at a paper fan printed with the Ainz Ooal robe. Albedo's long black hair is normally loose but has been tied back with a red bow that matches the rest of her outfit. This figure is ideal for fans of Albedo's cute side who also want to appreciate her in a unique outfit.

Overlord Albedo: So-Bin Ver. 1/6 Scale Figure

This Union Creative figure is inspired by a unique illustration of Albedo drawn by the Overlord light novel illustrator, so-bin. Albedo wears much more modern clothing than what she usually wears in the world of Yggdrasil, replacing her multi-layered white dress with a loose white top that hangs from her shoulders and a short skirt, both white. The golden spiderweb from her original outfit is replaced by a golden medallion around her neck. Other details of her outfit include black ribbons on her arm and fingers, a black ribbon with a skull ornament tied on one of her horns, and a pair of black gladiator sandals decorated with hearts and spiderwebs. Each feather on Albedo's black wings is also made with meticulous detail, giving the figure a very neat and elegant appearance.

About Albedo

Albedo is a succubus and the younger sister of the three sibling NPCs created by the guild member Tabula Smaragdina and acts as the leader and manager of the guardians of the Great Tomb Floor of Nazarick. She is ranked quite high in the hierarchy of Nazarick and usually only answers to the protagonist, Ainz Ooal Gown . Due to Ainz Ooal Gown's manipulation of Albedo's programming, Albedo is hopelessly in love with Ainz and is often shown to be very clingy and protective of him. This trait can sometimes cause her to lose control in several ways. On one hand, perhaps due to her succubus nature, she is quite assertive towards Ainz. On the other hand, she quickly loses her temper around anyone who attempts to harm Ainz in any way, even if these attempts end without him taking any damage.

Other important characters in Overlord

Albedo's role as leader of the Floor Guardians often brings her into contact with many powerful NPCs residing in Nazarick and, of course, Ainz Ooal Gown himself. While Albedo manages the general operations of the Floor Guardians, she doesn't always get along with everyone. This is most evident in her relationship with Shalltear Bloodfallen. These two are both in love with Ainz and often compete for his attention, sometimes resorting to violence if they deem it necessary. The relationship between Albedo and her two sisters, Nigredo and Rubedo, is generally positive, though Albedo does not hesitate to punish them if they go against Ainz's orders.
