Attack on Titan: INSIDE Kou - Attack on Titan

Attack on Titan INSIDE Kou (進撃の巨人 INSIDE 抗Shingeki no Kyojin INSIDE Kou ) is the first official guidebook for the Attack on Titan series. It was published in August 2013 in Japanese. This guidebook contains 192 pages, divided into 5 parts and includes exclusive interviews with Hajime Isayama, the series editor, and the anime team. In addition, the guidebook contains a variety of behind-the-scenes concept art from the anime and manga, including 16 color pages.

The guidebook contains a detailed introduction to all the characters in the story, as well as new original illustrations by Isayama, including a never-before-seen 54-page pilot manga from Attack on Titan. As a bonus, the guidebook comes with a papercraft kit so readers can create their own Colossal Titan head.

In addition to the 5 parts, there are also additional comments on the tools and weapons used by the characters, such as vertical maneuvering equipment, cannonballs, horses, firearms, and many more. 8 acts

In conjunction with the character and Titan profiles of the series, the Encyclopedia also focuses on some of the pivotal events of the story, in a separate guide consisting of "8 acts."
Here's a quick overview.

  • Act 1: Attack of the Colossal Titan, and how Eren transformed into a Titan when he was devoured.

  • Act 2: How Eren kills the Titans and how his teammates "used" him to be freed from the Titans surrounding him.

  • Act 3: Eren covered the Trost District Wall and gave humanity its first victory, also mentioning the number of sacrifices and Eren's will to remain conscious and in control of the Titan in order to cover the wall.

  • Act 4: What happened after Eren covered the Wall. The soldiers identified and burned the bodies.

  • Act 5: Summarizes what happened during Eren Jaeger's trial, the discussions of all the citizens of Trost District about the situation their "savior" found himself in.

  • Act 6: The Female Titan appeared and killed many soldiers (including Levi's squad)

  • Act 7: Explains how Annie reveals herself to be the Female Titan in the tunnel of the Stohess District, and how Eren had to be forced to fight her when he didn't want to at first.

  • Act 8: How the Beast Titan scales the wall while several Survey Corps soldiers were at Utgard Castle.

At the end of the Encyclopedia, there is a guide to some of the tactics used by the characters in Attack on Titan, a brief history of humanity's resistance, a status report on the state of humanity, a survey on the characters' popularity, and some color covers and images, as well as the main characters of the series: Yuki Kaji None Yui Ishikawa and Marina Inoue None
