Axel Kingdom Hearts - Nendoroid

Axel is one of the most well-known characters in the critically acclaimed Kingdom Hearts series. With a mysterious and calm demeanor, it's no wonder he's won the hearts of fans. A character whose side is difficult to determine only adds more mystery to his character and makes fans want to play the game to better understand Axel. About Axel

Axel is Rank VIII of Organization XIII. He can control fire and enhance his weapons with pyrokinesis to unleash devastating attacks.

About Axel: Background

Axel first appears in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. He is a difficult character to decipher. He has a mysterious presence and is an excellent liar. This makes it difficult to know where his loyalties lie and allows him to easily manipulate others.

Over time, Axel experiences cruel moments as he betrays Larxene and Zexion. He boldly declares that he would harm Namine to reach Marluxia. His personality undergoes multiple changes throughout the games. Notably, when he befriends Roxas and Xion, he becomes more laid-back and sarcastic. This is also a rare moment where he truly cares for his friends. He is very protective of Roxas and Xion and resembles an older brother. Axel even goes so far as to betray Saix to protect Roxas and Xion. His genuine concern for his friends initially keeps him loyal to Saix, but after realizing that Saix has changed for the worse, he abandons him for Roxas and Xion.

Roxas is the only person who can have a significant impact on Axel. So, when Roxas dies, it is the only time we see Axel shed anything similar to a tear from his eyes.

About Axel: Skills

Axel is known for using weapons called Chakrams. These are two uniquely shaped weapons that help him manipulate fire. He can summon flames at will and can attack quickly using his Chakrams. Another tactic he uses is to surround the entire Chakram with flames and throw it like a boomerang. This allows him to hit his opponents multiple times and inflict intense damage. Axel can also ignite his Chakrams at will from a distance, which also allows him to use them as a remote detonator.

He possesses immense strength, as evidenced by his attitude toward influential members of the Organization. Previously, Axel had effortlessly injured Vexen, despite being injured himself. The only person who can match his power is Xemnas. Xemnas is the only person capable of making him do things he doesn't want to do. Axel himself admits that Xemnas would be able to destroy him instantly.

Other important characters in Kingdom Hearts

Although he didn't have many friends due to his cold and mysterious presence, he was, however, close friends with Roxas and Xion and protected them like his own siblings.

Roxas

Roxas is one of Axel's earliest close friends. Axel was tasked with looking after Roxas after his induction into the Organization. Axel seems to have taken a liking to Roxas and often spoke with him. The two shared a bond close to brotherhood. The two always went to the clock tower to discuss their problems. Roxas particularly admires Axel's attitude and considers him the most outstanding member of the Organization.

Xion

When Xion first joined Organization XIII, she was shy and quiet. However, she begins to open up when she goes on missions with Roxas and begins to trust him, and then begins to depend on Axel and open up to him. Axel initially sees Xion as a mere puppet, but over time, he begins to see her for who she is and goes so far as to call her a friend.

Larxene

The two seem to have some form of friendship. However, they are seen bickering together on numerous occasions. Axel, in particular, talks to Larxene when Marluxia is away. Larxene almost always acts flirtatious around Axel. However, this doesn't bother him. Eventually, as the series progresses, Axel betrays Larxene to save Roxas and Xion.
