Beast Titan - Attack on Titan

The Beast Titan is one of the Nine Titans in the Attack on Titan universe. Its first appearance in the anime series was in Season 2 Episode 1. In the manga , it is first seen in the 35th chapter of the series, that is, the 1st chapter of the 9th volume of the manga.

He has an ape-like appearance, is covered in fur, and is slightly larger than most Titans. Currently, Zeke Jaeger possesses the power of this Titan. The previous owner was Tom Ksaver, an Eldian researcher who was Zeke's mentor and friend.

SKILLS

The Beast Titan possesses several abilities that make it a very powerful Titan. It has the overwhelming ability to throw objects with extraordinary accuracy and catastrophic results for the enemy. Zeke Jaeger makes extensive use of this ability during the Shiganshina District Conflict, when he confronts a large number of members of the Survey Corps by throwing large boulders during Chapter 79 of the manga. He also uses this power during the Battle of Fort Slava, where he wiped out the entire armada of the Middle Eastern Allied Forces in Chapter 92.

Similar to other Titans, such as the Female Titan , the Beast Titan also possesses the ability to harden. However, there are only two times in the story where the Beast Titan attempted to use this ability. This was in Chapter 81, during a short fight with Levi Ackerman , but it failed when Levi cut it before it could harden. It also attempted to harden its neck in Chapter 113, but several thunder spears shattered it.

The Beast Titan also possesses unique attributes that no other Titan possesses. Zeke Jaeger is the son of Dina Fritz, giving him a royal lineage.
One of Zeke's Beast Titan's most dangerous abilities is the ability to transform Ymir's Subjects into Titans. If a Subject of Ymir is injected with Zeke's spinal fluid, he can transform them into mindless Titans that will follow Zeke's commands. This power is used with a roar, similar to the Founding Titan's and Female Titan's scream-based abilities.

This ability can have devastating effects due to its lack of foresight. Its impact was seen in Chapter 46, when Wall Rose was invaded and the inhabitants of Ragako were transformed into Titans. Furthermore, when the Marleyan army used this power to launch Titans into Forw Slava in an airstrike. According to Niccolo, a former Marleyan soldier, this is a common Marley tactic to have mindless Titans invade an area, sneak in a few hundred well-prepared Eldians, and have Zeke use this power to transform them. However, as explained in Chapter 119, his shout has a limited range.

In addition to transforming Ymir's subjects into mindless Titans, Zeke's Beast Titan can also exert some control over them. He can give and establish basic commands, such as ordering them to move, refrain from eating humans, and remain still. Furthermore, Titans under Zeke's control are even able to operate using only moonlight without feeling excessively tired. However, in Chapter 35, some Titans were able to somewhat ignore his orders. This would prove that his power is not infallible.

Origins

The Beast Titan, along with all Nine Titans, appeared after the death of Ymir Fritz. 1,700 years after his death, one or more of the feuding Eldian houses that were subservient to the Founding Titan possessed the Beast Titan. Seventeen centuries later, Karl Fritz, king of the Fritz family, decided to abandon the conflicts in Eldia and settled on Paradis Island. As seen in Chapter 86, after moving to Paradis Island, the nation of Marley captured the Beast Titan during the Great Titan War.

In 829, Tom Ksayer inherited the Beast Titan so he could search for the memories of all previous owners of the form. During this time, the Beast Titan would remain in Marley as Tom claimed in Chapter 114 that it was not useful enough in war.

In 842, Zeke Jaeger was chosen to inherit the power of the Beast Titan. As a result, Zeke and his family were treated as a true Marleyan family, while Zeke gained the title of Marley Warrior.

A year later, Zeke Jaeger took the power of the Beast Titan from Tom Ksaver. As explained in Chapter 95, about a year later, when the other warriors had already inherited their respective Titans, Zeke used his Titan powers in a war between Marley and another enemy nation to kill the retreating soldiers in the battle.

When the time came to execute Operation Paradis Island, Zeke's Beast Titan remained in Marley to deter enemy forces.

Later, he participates in the mission to capture the Founding Titan. He infiltrates Wall Rose and, after transforming into a Beast Titan, uses his special powers to transform the inhabitants of Ragako into Pure Titans.

Four years after escaping his last encounter on Paradis Island, the Beast Titan will reappear during the final battle of the Marley-Middle East War at Fort Slava.
