Cart Titan - Attack on Titan
The Cart Titan is one of the Nine Titans in the Attack on Titan universe. With a quadrupedal form and the ability to move on two hands and two legs, it is characterized by its remarkable speed and endurance. It is the smallest Titan of the Nine main Titans, with a height of only 4 meters. In the manga, it made its first appearance in chapter 74. In the anime series, it could be seen for the first time in episode 13 of Season 3. It is currently in the possession of Pieck, a young Eldian woman who serves as one of Marley's warriors.
SKILLS
The Cart Titan's endurance level is more remarkable and significant than that of other Titans. Its heirs must be more persistent than average, as they must participate in long missions without needing to rest. Furthermore, the heir to the Cart Titan's powers can remain in this Titan form for long periods of time and carry very heavy weapons, such as combat armor or carrying bags. As seen in Chapter 95, it is very useful in a wide variety of tactics, such as clearing trenches and long-term operations in enemy territory.
The Chariot Titan isn't very good at combat and has lower defenses than other, more attack-oriented Titans. It is significantly easier to defeat, which occurs in Chapter 104. Additionally, its regeneration capacity is slower than other Titans.
Another notable characteristic of the Cart Titan is its quadrupedal form. Hence the name "Charter Titan." However, one of the drawbacks of inheriting the Cart Titan and remaining in this form for a long time is that the inheritor may forget how to walk normally once they return to their human form. This is why Pieck is often seen crawling like the Cart Titan or using crutches in his human state and around people.
Also due to its smaller, more compact size, another ability of the Cart Titan is its high speed. This is similar to the Jaw Titan , which is agile due to its smaller size. This is why the Cart Titan was used during the Battle of Shiganshina to save Zeke Jaeger and Reiner Braun , while also catching Levi Ackermann and Hange Zoe , two of the Walls' most skilled soldiers, off guard.
Origins
The Chariot Titan, along with all Nine Titans, appeared after Ymir's death. 1,700 years after her death, one or more of the feuding Eldian houses that were subservient to the Founding Titan possessed the Chariot Titan. Seventeen centuries later, Karl Fritz, king of the Fritz family, decided to abandon the feuding Eldians and settled on Paradis Island. As seen in Chapter 86, after moving to Paradis Island, the nation of Marley captured the Chariot Titan during the Great Titan War.
Around 843, after acquiring the power of the Chariot Titan, the Marley government sent Pieck with a unit of warriors on a war operation against an enemy country. There, she used her power to transport a ship containing Bertolt, leaving it in a strategic location to complete its transformation. After the war ended, and shortly before Operation Paradis Island in 845, it was announced that Zeke Jaeger and Pieck would remain in Marley in case the country's enemies invaded their territory.
At some point, Pieck was sent to Paradis to provide support to the other warriors during the island operation. After meeting with Zeke, Reiner Braun, and Bertolt Hoover, they focused on the ruins of Shiganshina to await the arrival of the Survey Corps . One night before the battle, Pieck became a Titan to monitor the surrounding area. In the morning, she spotted the enemies and immediately returned to Shiganshina to inform her companions of their arrival.
Climbing onto the back of the Chariot Titan, Zeke led Pieck through Shiganshina to rescue Reiner and Bertolt. There, they found Bertolt incapacitated and captured by Eren Jaeger, so Zeke decided to leave him to his fate. In another part of the district, they found Reiner, and before he was killed by Hange Zoë, Pieck saved him, and together they traveled to the edge of Wall Maria. After the battle ended, the three warriors returned to Marley.
Four years later, during the Battle of Liberio, Pieck re-equipped himself with the armor and, along with the Panzer unit, headed into the war zone to eliminate the Survey Corps invaders. After being shattered by multiple lightning lances, the Titan Cart's body was mutilated. Pieck fell from the building, and Jean attempted to deliver the finishing blow while Falco Grice stood between them, but a burst of steam emanating from the Titan diverted the lance's trajectory and caused it to impact elsewhere. Pieck emerged from the Titan's body unconscious and severely injured, so Falco and Gabi immediately took her to another location.
Facts
-
A curious fact is that the name of the Panzer unit, the four-man artillery crew on Pieck's Titan tank, comes from the German word "Panzer," meaning "armor." It refers to the armor of a heavy vehicle or tank.

Along with Willy Tybur's sister, Pieck is one of the few female Titans whose transformation retains a completely masculine appearance. While the reasons for this are unclear, in the August 2017 issue of Bessatsu Shonen Magazine, anime creator Hajime Isayama revealed that Pieck was originally intended to be a middle-aged man named "Olivier Pieck," rather than a young woman. Isayama later posted a rough sketch of this initial concept on his blog.
