Synopsis

Fifteen years ago, a mysterious hyperspace gate appeared over the Pacific. The world beyond the gate, Reto Semaani, is home to fairies and demons. Nowadays, the city of San Teresa has become a cultural melting pot where migrants from every world live side by side, but like any other city, there are those who have and those who do not. It is the "city of dreams," but it is also a city of chaos where crimes such as arms trafficking, drug trafficking, and prostitution are rife. The San Teresa City Police exist to protect citizens from the effects of these crimes. Detective Kei Matoba and Knight Tirana differ in gender, character, and the world they were born into, but a new story begins with their encounter.

Background

Cop Craft is inspired by the Cop Craft: Dragnet Mirage Reloaded light novel series written by Shoji Gatoh and illustrated by Range Murata. The anime adaptation was announced on December 29, 2018, and the first season will premiere on July 8, 2019. The opening theme song for the first season will be performed by Masayoshi Oishi, and Mayu Yoshioka will perform the ending theme song.

Characters

Kei Matoba (Voice of: Kenjiro Tsuda)

Kei Matoba is a skilled detective with the San Teresa City Police Department and a member of the Public Morality Task Force. He is allergic to cats, but due to a series of circumstances, he is the owner of a black kitten.

Exedirika of Tirana (Voice of: Mayu Yoshioka)

Tirana Exedirika is an apprentice knight from the kingdom of Falbaani in Reto Semaani. In addition to her sword skills, she is also capable of using the magic known as "Miltee."

Cecil Epps (Voiced by: Fumiko Orikasa)

Cecil Epps is a pathologist employed by the San Teresa City Police Department. She is also Kei Matoba's ex-girlfriend.

Jack Roth (Voice of: Kenji Hamada)

Jack Roth is the head of the San Teresa City Police Department's Public Morals Special Squad. He is extremely strict.

Tony Mcbee (Voice of: Ryousuke Takahashi)

Tony Mcbee is a detective in the San Teresa City Police Department's Public Morality Special Squad and a sort of mother figure to the squad.

Jamie Austin (Voiced by: Mai Nakahara)

Cameron Estefan's partner, Jamie Austin, is a police officer with the San Teresa City Police Department's Public Morals Special Squad. She struggled with her weight as a child.

Cameron Estefan (Voice of: Marina Inoue)

Cameron Estefan is a former fujoshi who works in the San Teresa City Police Department's Public Morality Special Squad. She partners with Jamie.

Alexander Godunov (Voice of: Satoshi Tsuruoka)

Alexander Godunov, a detective with the San Teresa Municipal Police's Special Public Morality Squad, is Tony's partner. He is a family man with a wife and children.

Biz O'Neill (Voice of: Wataru Takagi)

Biz O'Neill is a self-proclaimed preacher and police informant in the town of San Teresa. He also owns a club.

Kenny (Voiced by: Volcano Ota)

Kenny is Biz O'Neill's secretary and bodyguard.

Zerada (Voice of: Hochu Otsuka)

Zerada is a Miltee master who works for the El Valle family. In Semaani years, he is already over 100 years old, and even in this world, he is extremely old. He is a skilled Miltee user and claims to be able to manipulate 100 people at once. Zerada also appears to have a connection to Kei Matoba from the past.
