Synopsis
Ichrio Suzuki, a 29-year-old programmer, was just taking a nap, but he wakes up in another world as Satou Pendragon and realizes it's the fantasy RPG he was previously working on! Without warning, he's confronted by an army of lizardmen. To survive, he uses the powerful ability "Meteor Shower," eradicates them completely, and goes from level 1 to 310, becoming ultra-powerful and wealthy in the process. In order to live peacefully in this new world, Satou decides to hide his level and continues adventuring while meeting new people. But even though all Satou wants is a peaceful existence, the return of the Demon King might just put a stop to his plans...

Written by Hiro Ainana, Death March Kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku began as a web novel in 2013 on the user-generated content site Shosetsuka ni Naro before being published as a light novel with illustrations by Shri in March 2014 under the Fujimi Shobo Novels imprint. As of January 2018, 11 volumes have been published. A manga adaptation of Ayamegumu published by Fujimi Shobo is currently being serialized in Monthly Dragon Age , and the prequel manga Arisa's Supernatural Struggle by Akira Segami launched in the February 2018 issue of Monthly Dragon Age. Both the light novel and manga have been licensed for publication in North America by Yen Press.
An anime adaptation directed by Shin Oonuma ( WataMote, A Sister Is All You Need, Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya ) with animation by Silver Link and Connect began airing on January 11, 2018, in Japan on AT-X, with additional broadcasts on Tokyo MX and BS11. The anime features a script written by Kento Shimoyama, character designs by Shoko Takimoto, and music composed by Monaca of DIVE II Entertainment. It will run for 12 episodes. The opening theme is "Slide Ride" by The Run Girls, Run! and the ending theme is "Suki no Skill" by Wake Up, Girls!. The series is available for international streaming on Crunchyroll, with FUNimation streaming the simuldub.

A 29-year-old programmer who is transported into the world of a fantasy RPG at the age of 15. Thanks to a powerful ability he possesses, he is able to wipe out an army of monsters in one fell swoop, instantly leveling him from level 1 to 310, granting him tons of wealth and the ability to maximize many skills. He decides to live a peaceful life in the adventure world while hiding his level from others.
Zena Marienteil (CV: Rie Takahashi)
A 17-year-old mage soldier and Satou's first friend. She is friends with Iona and joined the army to avoid an arranged marriage to a nobleman arranged by her parents.

An enslaved half-human dog child who joins Satou after rescuing her from a dungeon with Pochi and Tama.
Tama (CV: Kaya Okuno)
An enslaved demi-human cat child who joins Satou after being rescued from a dungeon with Pochi and Liza.

An enslaved half-human lizard who joins Satou after being rescued from a dungeon with Pochi and Tama. She watches over Pochi and Tama like an older sister.

A princess who was overthrown and enslaved, only to be purchased by Satou. Despite her youthful appearance, she has a mature demeanor. In fact, she died on Earth and was reincarnated in the game.

A young slave girl bought by Satou with Arisa.
Misanaria Bolenan (CV: Airi Eino)
A young elf with magical powers whom Satou rescues after being kidnapped by the undead king Zen. She joins the group after Satou promises to accompany her home.

A magically created homunculus who, along with his sisters, is rescued by Satou after the Zen Dungeon collapses. Satou sends his sisters on reconnaissance missions across the world while Nana serves Satou at his side.

A soldier in the Seiryuu City Territorial Army who is also friends with Zena.

Mosa's daughter and waitress at the Gatefront Inn.
