History

Doma was born with beautiful and rare rainbow-colored eyes. Because of this unusual trait, his parents believed he was able to hear the voices of God, and he was groomed to be the religious leader of the Eternal Paradise Cult, a position he held until his death. When he was a child, his mother went mad and stabbed his father to death because of his father's many affairs. His mother then committed suicide by poisoning herself in front of him. Despite these horrific visions, he was only bothered by the mess and the smell of blood, wanting to clean his room before the bad smell took hold. For a while, he didn't feel sad about his parents' deaths. At the age of 20, he met Muzan Kibutsuji , who transformed him into a Demon.

As a demon, Doma becomes stronger by feeding on many human women, who Doma believes are easier to eat because they contain many nutrients used to feed babies. We first see Doma while he is still Upper Moon Six while he is eating a geisha. Later, he becomes even stronger and rises to the position of Upper Moon Two. He dies due to the lethal amount of poison he absorbed. Shinobu Kocho's body follows Kanao Tsuyuri , decapitating him. After his death, he is seen in a sort of afterlife talking to Shinobu Kocho , where he displays his first human emotions of love, developing feelings towards Shinobu Kocho .

Personality

Doma is always smiling and acts very friendly, but this cheerful and caring nature is only a facade. He declares that he cares for his fellow Upper Moons and even cries when he learns that Akaza is dead, although in reality, he feels nothing for them. Even as a human, Doma did not feel any type of human emotion. He was aware that this fact was abnormal and compensated for it by lying and learning to fake his emotions, which allowed him to deceive many people. He does not seem to feel pain, although he sometimes seems to desire it, displaying certain masochistic tendencies. When questioning Muzan Kibutsuji about the type of punishment he should receive for his failure, he seems to show some excitement when considering the possibilities.
