Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Game - Dragon Ball
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is a single-player action role-playing video game. The game is based on the internationally successful Japanese manga series Dragon Ball , both written and illustrated by Akira Toriyama . It was developed by CyberConnect2 and produced by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It was released on January 16, 2020, in Japan for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It was later released worldwide on January 17, 2020, also for Microsoft Windows.
Story and Gameplay
The game is based on the manga and anime "Dragon Ball Z" and tells four arcs, including the Saiyan arc, the Frieza arc, the Cell and Android arc, and the Majin Buu arc. It covers chapters 75 to 516 of the manga and the anime Dragon Ball Z. None
Saiyan Arc
5 years after the fight with Piccolo at the World Martial Arts Tournament, Son Goku and his wife Chi-Chi are living happily with their son Son Gohan . However, one day, a mysterious man from outer space arrives on Earth and claims to be Goku's older brother. His name is Raditz and he is part of the nearly extinct Saiyan race. Raditz takes Gohan hostage and Goku must team up with his old nemesis Piccolo to get Gohan back. Goku and Piccolo manage to get Gohan back, but Goku dies along with Raditz. Upon learning of Raditz's death, two other Saiyans, Vegeta and Nappa, head to Earth. Goku, on the other hand, has heard about the two Saiyans heading to Earth and has begun training under King Kai. Vegeta and Nappa arrive on Earth earlier than expected, and Piccolo, Tien , Chiaotzu,Yamcha , Gohan, and Krillin must fight them until Goku is resurrected by Shenron. Goku arrives to fight, but Piccolo, Tien, Chiaotzu, and Yamcha have been killed. Goku manages to defeat the two Saiyans but lets Vegeta escape.
Frieza Arc
After the battle with the Saiyans, Gohan, Krillin, and Bulma travel to Planet Namek to resurrect their fallen comrades with the Namekian Dragon Balls. A severely injured Goku first had to fully heal his injuries before traveling to Planet Namek. Earth's Dragon Balls were destroyed after Piccolo was defeated. However, they aren't the only ones searching for the Dragon Balls on Planet Namek, as the most powerful villain, Frieza, is also after them. Goku and his friends must battle Frieza and his forces to retrieve the Dragon Balls and resurrect their friends.
Cellular Arc and Android
After the battle with Frieza, peace finally returned to Earth. However, Frieza was not defeated and arrived on Earth with his father to seek revenge. Earth was about to be destroyed until a young boy arrived in front of Frieza and his father. The young boy defeated the father and son by transforming into a Super Saiyan. He explained to Goku that he came from the future and that he was Trunks , the son of Bulma and Vegeta. He warned Goku about the androids that would destroy Earth in 3 years. Goku and his friends trained and prepared for the androids' attack. 3 years later, the androids attacked Earth. Meanwhile, a mysterious creature also arrived on Earth from the future. The creature is called Cell and its goal is to absorb the androids in order to transform into its final form. Goku and his friends must train and become stronger to defeat Cell, who is in his final form.
Majin Buu Arc
Seven years have passed since the battle against Cell. Gohan is 16 and attends school in the city, where he is forced to participate in the World Martial Arts Tournament by his friend, Videl. Goku also joins the tournament, returning to Earth for a day. However, during this tournament, a dark mage named Badibi plans to unleash Majin Buu in hopes of conquering the universe. Goku and his friends must find a way to stop Buu.
Playable characters
As the story progresses, the playable character changes. Throughout the campaign, the player can play as five characters to complete the story. There are also several support characters that can be added to the party to assist the player. The playable characters are:

Reception
The game received favorable reviews from critics. It was highly praised for its combat system and storyline. Metacritic, a well-known review aggregator website, assigned the game scores for each platform. The scores were quite high and consistent throughout: 71/100 for the PC version, 73/100 for the PS4, and 84/100 for the Xbox 1.
Approximately 89,500 copies were sold in Japan in its first week of release. It is the second best-selling game, behind Yakuza: Like a Dragon. The game reached number one in the UK.
