About Edward Newgate "Whitebeard"
Edward Newgate "Whitebeard" has many accolades to his name. He is known as "the strongest man in the world" and "the man closest to One Piece." He was also a member of the legendary Rock Pirates and was one of the four emperors who ruled the New World. Whitebeard made his first appearance in silhouette form in chapter 159 of the manga and episode 95 of the anime. His first proper appearance didn't come until much later in chapter 234 and episode 151. Whitebeard has been called the strongest man in the world for a reason. He possesses physical power that far surpasses that of a giant.
Other important characters in One Piece
Jinbe, also known as the "Sea Knight," is the helmsman of the Straw Hat Pirates. He is the tenth member of the crew. Jinbe is a whale shark fish-man who is proficient in fish-man karate.
