Preview

Fate/Extra CCC is a companion game for Fate/Extra . Developed by Type-Moon and Image Epoch and published by Marvelous Entertainment, the game was released in Japan in March 2013. It has had two manga adaptations that are currently still being serialized by Kadokawa Shoten.

Plot

Fate/Extra CCC 's story is a retelling of the events of Fate/Extra from the perspective of Caster, Tamamo no Mae. The game takes place on the dark side of the Lunar Cell where the near side masters and servants were gathered by BB after she used her abilities to create Sakura's Labyrinth.

Development

Fate/Extra CCC was originally announced in September 2011 and acts as the "Heaven's Feel" route of Fate/Extra. The game was delayed several times and was finally released in Japan on March 28, 2013. The staff of Fate/Extra CCC remained unchanged from Fate/Extra and included Shuetsu Kadowaki as director and Kinoko Nasu as script writer, as well as Arco Wada as character designer and artist, Huke as weapon designer, and Takashi Takeuchi as character design supervisor. Shaft created the game's opening movie. The game's opening theme song is "Sakura Meikyuu" by Kanon Wakeshima, and the ending theme song is "Blossom" by Sakura Tange.

A special limited edition of the game titled "Fate/Extra CCC Type-Moon Virgin White Box" was released alongside the regular edition. The special edition includes a collector's box with illustrations by Takashi Takeuchi as well as a Saber Bride figma figure, a Visual Works art book, and a limited CD of character songs sung by Sakura Tange.

Gameplay

The gameplay of Fate/Extra CCC is largely unchanged from Fate/Extra but includes several changes such as an increased number of combat animations for attacks and Noble Phantasms, more voice acting, and much more. The game features three possible endings based on the player's choices throughout the game: the CCC or "true" ending, the Servant ending, and the normal ending. The CCC ending can be obtained by performing special actions and choosing the correct answers throughout the game, and the Servant ending can be obtained by unlocking the three starting Servant Secret Gardens.
