Fate Saber of Red Mordred

Red Saber (Mordred) - Destiny

Profile

Mordred is summoned by Kairi Sisigou as her servant Saber of the Red during the Great Holy Grail War in Fate/Apocrypha. She is known as the Knight of Betrayal and is the offspring of King Arthur, though he refused to acknowledge her as such. She is a homunculus clone of Artoria created by Artoria and Morgana the Fay. In her past life, she led a rebellion against King Arthur that resulted in both of them being mortally wounded during their battle.

Mordred is very proud and haughty and is full of rage at having been rejected by her father. She has a tomboyish nature and is not afraid to wear revealing clothes. She becomes close to Sisigou, as they are both stubborn and overconfident. Her wish for the Holy Grail is to go back in time and become the rightful heir to the throne by finally being accepted by her father as his heir.

Appearance

Mordred is a young woman with angular features and blond hair that she wears in a bun.
Although small in stature, she remains intimidating in her armored form, which is so thick that it also conceals her genitals. In public, she wears a white tube top and a red leather jacket with short shorts and black boots.

SKILLS

Like all Saber-class Servants, Mordred is exceptional in her abilities as a fighter and Servant. Like King Arthur, she possesses Mana Burst, which allows her to release mana from her body to increase her strength and agility. She is able to leap great distances and has superhuman physical strength that is enough to overwhelm fighters far larger than herself. Although she is a knight, her fighting style is not formal and elegant but rather wild and chaotic. She views swordsmanship not with reverence but as a means to an end, and she has no problem fighting unfairly to win.

Noble fantasies
None The Secret of Genealogy: Anti-Unity Class. Also known as the Helm of Hidden Infidelity. The helmet worn by Mordred that keeps his true identity a secret. The helmet can be removed at will and automatically merges with his armor.

None Clarent: Anti-unit class. Also known as the Radiant and Shining Royal Sword. Mordred's sword, Clarent, is richly decorated and equal in value to Caliburn, King Arthur's sword.

None Arthur of Clarent Blood: Anti-Army Class. Also known as Rebellion Against My Stepfather. An attack that unleashes Clarent's full power. His helmet, Secret of Pedigree, must be removed to use this attack.

Role

Mordred is summoned by Kairi Sisigou using a piece of the Round Table as a catalyst to serve as the Saber of Red in the Great Holy Grail War. After meeting Sisigou, she agrees to work with him to retrieve the Grail and says her wish for obtaining it is to be able to extract Caliburn from its stone and become king, thus proving her worth to her father, King Arthur. After meeting with the war's overseer, Shirou Kotomine, she and Sisigou decide to go their separate ways, and the two begin to acquire information on the other participants while hiding in a mausoleum. Soon after, they receive news of the Mage's Association and travel to Sighisoara to investigate a series of murders involving mages. Later, they are ambushed by Assassin of Black (Jack the Ripper), the culprit behind the murders, and Mordred manages to wound her before she retreats.

Having learned that the fighting between the factions has begun, they return to Trifas to participate. Mordred fights Rider of Black (Astolfo), but Sieg intervenes and she kills him. She also faces Berserker of Black (Frankenstein's Monster) and manages to survive his Noble Phantasm, Blasted Tree. After Sieg revives as Siegfried, she also fights him, but their battle is interrupted by the arrival of Spartacus, whom she cuts in half. Later, she kills Astolfo's master, Celenike Icecolle Yggdmillennia, after annoying her. Once Shirou's plan becomes clear, she and Sisigou join forces with the remaining members of the Yggdmillennia and their servants to stop him.

However, during the assault on the Hanging Gardens, Sisigou and Mordred secretly execute their own plan to try to steal the Grail for themselves. They arrive at the throne room and Mordred fights the Assassin of Red (Semiramis) but is weakened by the poison from her Noble Phantasm. With Sisigou's help, she is cured of the poison and manages to defeat Semiramis, but in the process, Sisigou is mortally wounded. Instead of finding another Master to prolong her life, she chooses to remain loyal to Sisigou until the end and disappears shortly after her death.
