Who created the Fate franchise?
The Destiny franchise began in 2004 with the visual novel Fate/Stay Night, developed by TYPE-MOON and written by Kinoko Nasu, one of the founding members of the video game company besides Takashi Takeuchi. They are the creators of Destiny . However, since then, anime, animated films, animated shorts, animated specials, arcade games, light novels, visual novels, manga, audio dramas, and a very popular mobile game have been created within the universe. A variety of talented illustrators, designers, animators, writers, studios, and more have worked on different series over the years.

None What is Fate about?
This is a war fought in the hope that by winning one of their wishes, it will be granted. These wars are called Holy Grail Wars and they are fought by people called Masters who are usually mages using fighters called Servants who are people famous from history for their strength invoked in modern times. Their Masters must be strategic in their approach and their Servants must be powerful so that they are the last pair standing in order to claim the Holy Grail which is the prize of the Wish Granting Holy Grail War. It is said that it can grant any wish, even as long as the wisher knows how to make it come true. It might take thousands of men and be impossible for the wisher, but as long as they have, let's say, the outline of how they have it in mind, the Holy Grail would be able to grant the wish.
In short: Destiny is about people, usually mages, controlling heroes from history summoned into modern life in order to be the last pair standing in a war for the price of a granted wish.
Okay, so what is the Nasuverse?
The Nasuverse includes other games developed by TYPE-MOON that are set in the same universe as the Destiny franchise, but they are stories of their own with unique characters and plots unlike those of the Destiny works.
