Fate/Zero Assassin
Assassin - Fate/Zero
Preview
Assassin's real name is Hassan-i-Sabbah. He is also known as Hassan of the Hundred Faces, Hassan of the Hundred Faces, and the Old Man of the Mountain. He is able to split his personality into multiple beings and be in different places at once while controlling them all independently and simultaneously due to his multiple personality disorder, also known as dissociative identity disorder or DID. They are also of different sexes.
Appearance
Their appearance varies slightly from individual to individual, but they are generally dressed in an all-black outfit that may consist of pants, a skirt, a hood, and/or a headband around their chest. They have black skin and purple hair. They sometimes wear bronze cuffs on their limbs, bronze necklaces around their necks, and silver hoop earrings. They have a very slim, but muscular build. They often cover their faces with a skull-shaped mask that stops at the level of their upper teeth. It has a blatant appearance.
Personality
As with multiple personality disorder, the personalities of the Assassin's alter egos differ. Each of the Assassin's alter egos has its own personality, but the one most often shown appears to be that of a rogue. Very devious. He also appears obedient, following Kirei's orders without question or hesitation. However, he intended to steal the Holy Grail for himself, but never succeeded.
SKILLS
Assassin has many abilities to use as each of his Quirks has a different set of abilities as well as weaknesses. He unfortunately remains the weakest Servant in the 4th Holy Grail War as his total strength is divided between all his Quirks, making each one quite weak individually. His Presence Concealment power, however, makes him an excellent spy for Kirei Kotomine, and that's all he wanted from him.
Wish
Assassin's wish for having won the Holy Grail in the Fourth Holy Grail War is to become whole again. He doesn't want to suffer from multiple personality disorder or be split into so many alters. He wants them all to come together so he can be a coherent being that includes parts of them in his personality, but in such a way that he has a single personality and not multiple ones.
Master
Kirei Kotomine is the Master Assassin for the Fourth Holy Grail War in Fate/Zero. There isn't really a relationship, and certainly no friendship, between them. He just uses her as a tool and Assassin follows his orders. He mainly interacts with a female Assassin among the many Assassins with split personalities. Kirei doesn't even really want to win for most of the war and this impacts his treatment as an Assassin. The poor Assassin wants to win but is simply used as a spy so Kirei Kotomine can help Tokiomi Tohsaka win due to his father Risei Kotomine influencing his decision.
Role
His role in the Fourth Holy Grail War was simply to be used as a spy by Kirei Kotomine, who at the time only cared about obeying his father, Risei Kotomine, and his father hoped to secure the Holy Grail with Tokiomi Tohsaka. At the beginning of the Fourth Holy Grail War, one of his Quirks was killed by Gilgamesh, which made the other Servants think that a Servant had already been eliminated, but that wasn't the case because to kill Assassin, one must kill all of his Quirks. Tokiomi and Kirei wanted Archer Gilgamesh to kill this Quirk so that it would be easier for all the other Quirks to spy on the other Servants and continue to provide them with information. Kiritsugu Emiya found this all a bit too suspicious and sent a Familiar to keep an eye on Kirei Kotomine at the Fuyuki Church, even though Familiars weren't allowed there. As expected, he discovers that all is not as it seems when he spots another Assassin. The servant Rider (Alexander the Great/Iskander) and Waver Velvet also discover that Assassin is not actually killed when they find them in Caster's lair as well. The last piece of information they can provide to Kirei Kotomine (who shares it with Risei Kotomine and Tokiomi Tohsaka) is Rider's (Alexander the Great) strength. Kirei must use all of his Command Spells to make them all leave. It takes all of his Command Spells because they know this is most likely a suicide mission. They intrude on the drinking between Rider, Gilgamesh, and Saber, but greatly anger Rider when they don't accept his offer of wine. Kirei definitely gets the information he was looking for as Rider uses his ultimate move on the Assassins to eliminate each of them and officially kill the War Assassins. The hit is Ionioi Hetairoi: Army of the King.
