The Rise of the Shield Hero fandom has seen a surge in Filo's popularity. Her cute human girl appearance contrasts wonderfully with her giant Filolial form. Additionally, her quirky, food-obsessed personality balances the dynamics of the main trio, and along with Raphaëlle , she has softened Naofumi's jaded personality. The Rise of the Shield Hero Raphtalia & Filo: Filolial Ver. Non-Scale Figure

This figure shows Filo in her final Filolial form relaxing with her good friend, Raphaëlle . Filo's body appears full, fluffy, and voluminous, taking full advantage of the soft vinyl material. Her chest feathers alternate between clearly defined white and pink feathers. While they are mostly white now, more pink from her chick days can be found on her long head feathers and tail. The paintwork transitions from white at the base to full pink at the tips in a gradual gradient. Subtle sculpting on her upper and lower beaks gives a realistic avian appearance. This realism continues in the curve of her wings and her layered sculpted feathers. Her eyes match their appearance in the anime, capturing the same energy she possesses in her girl form. Beside her is a peaceful Raphtalia, wearing a striped shirt dress.

Filo, Rising Shield Hero, 1/7 Scale Figure

Filo enjoys a little rest and a tasty snack in this 1/7 scale figure from Kadokawa. Despite her cuteness in her natural Filolial form, FIlo is even cuter in her human girl form. Her large eyes and wiggling feet capture her lightness and playful, childlike demeanor. Even as a girl, she retains small white wings, and in this figure, she spreads them, focusing attention on her delicious sandwich. The figure's design reflects Kadokawa's attention to every detail. The yellow-trimmed ribbons tied around her waist flow down her back beneath her hair. Viewers even glimpse her underwear, resulting from her carefree pose. Even the rock she sits on features thoughtful painting to give a weathered, rugged appearance.

About Filo

Filo is an important ally of Naofumi. She is a Filolial, a monster in the Shield Hero universe that resembles giant birds, often used for transportation. Filo first appears as an egg. Naofumi Iwatani buys slaves from a slave trader. She hatches into a small pink chick and quickly levels up until she resembles a small ostrich. Her next form is that of a white owl, larger than an adult ostrich and functional for transportation. Eventually, the current queen of the Filolials grants Filo succession to the throne, granting her a single vertical feather on top of her head. As a human, Filo resembles a young girl with long blond hair and two white wings on her back. Filo is constantly hungry and takes on the personality of a spoiled child in her human form. Over time, she becomes more reliable and respectful, especially towards Naofumi.

Other important characters in The Rising of the Shield

Naofumi Iwatani is the protagonist and titular hero of the series. Before the events of the series, Naofumi was a second-year university student who prioritized his otaku hobbies above all else. He is transported to another world by a mysterious book and becomes one of the Four Legendary Heroes. Initially positive and confident, Naofumi's personality changed drastically after his partner, Princess Malty, betrayed him. His reputation ruined, Naofumi travels the country with his new, cynical and hostile outlook, determined to clear his name.

Princess Melty is the second crown princess of Melromarc and the younger sister of Princess Malty. Unlike her sister, Melty is extremely kind and polite. Even as a child, she does not see her position as royalty as an excuse to look down on commoners and demihumans. Due to her interest in the Filolials, Melty forms an immediate connection with Filo, earning her trust and that of Naofumi. She is best friends with Filo and becomes the new queen of Melromarc. She appoints Naofumi as Archduke to make a declaration, unknowingly enacting a clause that binds them.
