About Final Fantasy XIV
Final Fantasy XIV is the fourteenth title in the flagship Final Fantasy franchise and is the second MMORPG released under the franchise. The game was directed by Nobuaki Komoto and Naoki Yoshida, produced by Hiromichi Tanaka and Naoki Yoshida, and its music was composed by series veteran Nobuo Uematsu , although others also composed tracks.
The original version of the game was shut down in 2012 due to its poor quality and negative reception. However, when Naoki Yoshida took over production of the remake and Hiromichi Tanaka was removed from the role, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 3 in August 2013, with clients for PlayStation 4 and macOS later.
The plot of Final Fantasy XIV
Final Fantasy XIV takes place in a region of the world known as Hydaelyn, called Eorzea. At the end of the original game, the dragon Bahamut escapes from his lunar prison and triggers the Seventh Umbral Calamity, a destructive event that leaves much of Eorzea in ruins. Thanks to a blessing from the gods, the player escapes the devastation through time travel, allowing them to travel five years into the future. As Eorzea recovers from the devastation, the player must face the imminent threat of an invasion from the Garlean Empire to the north. The game follows the classic RPG experience system, through which players gain experience and become stronger. The main sources of experience include quests, dungeon exploration, participating in full-time events, and destroying monsters. Additionally, the game features a variety of PvP content. In the armory system, the weapon a character wields determines their class.

The festival offered artists the opportunity to "pick up their pencils, brushes, styluses, and tools to create works inspired and themed by FINAL FANTASY XIV!" However, the art competition wasn't limited to festival attendees, as everyone was invited to submit and display their work. Two categories of artwork were available: "Illustrated Artwork" and "Physical Artwork." Festival attendees were allowed to vote for the winner of each category.

The festival provided Final Fantasy Cosplay fans with the opportunity to showcase their creations and costumes. The competition selected 50 entrants, and a panel of judges narrowed the list down to 20 qualified finalists who performed on stage in a final judging round, during which the winner of the cosplay competition was selected.
