Corrin amiibo from Super Smash Bros.

Nintendo's line of collectible amiibo figures began with playable characters from the incredibly popular Super Smash Bros. series. This amiibo from the Super Smash Bros. character line features Corrin, the protagonist of Fire Emblem: Fates. While the original game allowed the player to choose between male or female Corrin, this particular amiibo depicts Corrin as a man. Corrin stands proudly, his feet firmly planted on the ground, as he wields his unique sword, Yato. He wears his signature white and black armor with a blue cape flowing behind him. Like all amiibo, this Corrin figure has a chip inside the base that can be read by Nintendo systems to activate various in-game features. For Super Smash Bros., this Corrin amiibo can be used to create a virtual fighter that can learn and evolve to become a formidable foe.

About Fire Emblem

Fire Emblem is a series of turn-based fantasy tactical role-playing games developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo for a variety of consoles, including the Game Boy Advance, 3DS, and Switch. The first Fire Emblem game was released only in Japan for the Family Computer (Famicom). Since the release of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, a total of sixteen main games and three spin-off titles have been released. The gameplay of Fire Emblem games often takes the form of a turn-based system in which two opposing armies battle. Each character has their own stats, usable weapons, and abilities, allowing the player to come up with a variety of different strategies to defeat their enemies. If the player chooses a higher difficulty, characters can be permanently killed in battle, forcing players to carefully choose their course of action. Many of these games also have a medieval fantasy setting that tells the story of multiple kingdoms at war with each other, creating deep and complex stories for the player.
