Fortnite - Action Figures
Almost instantly, Fortnite became a global gaming sensation. It influenced cultural trends outside of the gaming community, inspiring TikTok dances and Jeopardy! trivia. From an outsider's perspective, the game is difficult to pin down because it does so many things at once. From deep character customization to single-player survival to battle royale, the series successfully blends unlikely genres. The massive library of character skins makes it nearly impossible to settle on a favorite. Here are four figurines of some of Fortnite's most popular skins: "Nendoroid Fortnite Skull Trooper," "Pop! Games: Fortnite Merry Marauder," "Nendoroid Fortnite Tomato Head," and "Pop! Games: Fortnite Black Knight."
Nendoroid Fortnite Skull Trooper Figure
The rare Skull Trooper released early in the game is now available in chibi size in Good Smile Company's Nendoroid line. The Nendoroid's body itself is sculpted in its traditional form, giving it the appearance of wearing the skin as seen in the games. His skeletal form is carefully painted on the front and back of the figure. However, his sternum is obscured by his silver dog tags. Weapons and survival tools include a taped and twisted Reaper pickaxe and a shotgun. The figure also includes a drift board that Skull Trooper can ride.

Pop! Games: Fortnite Happy Marauder Figure
The jolly Marauder looks just as menacing in his Pop! Games figure form as he does in his skin. His simple, round white eyes, red-rimmed white frown, and angry blue eyebrows fit perfectly with the Funko Pop! style. The squiggly white lines on his arms and legs represent the icing that holds his damaged limbs in place. This white icing differs slightly from the details on his face. This distinguishes it as an intentional feature of the original antebellum Gingerbread Man design. While his in-game skin is exclusive to the holiday season, this figure will remain grumpy all year long.

Nendoroid Fortnite Tomato Head Figure
Tomato Head has a slightly less menacing appearance in this Nendoroid figure. The perfectly rounded tomato head is just a bit wider than traditional Nendoroid standards. His slanted cartoon eyes, brown handlebar mustache, and green-leafed tomato top are faithfully recreated. The paint job on his outfit depicts a slice of pepperoni pizza and a small brown patch sewn onto his pants. Accessories include a rocket launcher, a launched rocket with an angry face, and a shiny, unused Axeroni pickaxe.

Pop! Games: Fortnite Black Knight Figure
Fortnite's ever-popular Black Knight skin now comes in a chibi form. The Funko Pop! Games figure sports a stunningly detailed knight's helmet in charcoal black. His glowing red eyes, however, are Funko's classic round dots behind the mask. The chainmail details on his sleeves are well-textured but still sculpted enough to highlight his small muscles.

History of the Fortnite series
Fortnite takes place on a modern Earth covered by a giant storm. This storm wiped out 98% of the population and led to the appearance of Husks, zombie-like creatures that prey on survivors. In Save the World, players build storm shields to create survivor bases, venturing into the storm to gather supplies and attempt to expand. It features tower defense, shooter, and sandbox-style crafting gameplay elements. Battle Royale features a traditional battle royale-style format where single players can play solo or in small teams in battles with up to 100 players. Players can also destroy almost anything in the environment to harvest materials and craft items. Fortnite Creative expands on the game's crafting elements. Players can create items and structures on a private island and share these creations via online communication.
Development of the Fortnite series
Epic Jam announced Fortnite in 2011 at the Spike Video Game Awards, even before production began. The idea was born out of an internal game-making competition intended to transform the company's product offerings. Initial development was hampered by the simultaneous development of a new system engine and Epic's involvement with Tencent. In July 2017, Fortnite was released as a paid early access game. Earlier that year, seeing the success of battle royale-style online games, Epic developed the second version, Battle Royale, in two months. The original game was given the retconned secondary name Save the World for distinction. Battle Royale's groundbreaking tactic was its free-to-play release, supported by microtransactions. It attracted 10 million players in its first week. Its immense popularity spurred the phenomenon of Fortnite dances, references in other media, and tons of merchandise.
