Gabriel Miller - Sword Art Online

Gabriel Miller , known as Subtilizer in Gun Gale Online and Project Alicization 1/4 (PA), and as the antagonist Vecta in PA for a time, is the head of tactical operations for Glowgen Defense Systems and the child of the company's former president and founder. GGO , he was the winner of the 1st and 4th Bullet of Bullets tournaments. He was also the field commander during the attack on the Ocean Turtle. He used the Soul Translator to enter Underworld None

Personality

Gabriel is a goal-oriented being characterized by a complete lack of empathy, obsessed only with souls. He even murdered his childhood friend just to see if he could catch a glimpse of her soul leaving her body, and has experimented on a large number of animals for a similar purpose.

Background

Gabriel was born in the suburbs of Los Angeles, California, in 1998. His father collected insects, and Gabriel loved examining them. He began to think about what made them move. His father showed him a video of praying mantises mating, where the loss of the head didn't prevent the male from moving. This further deepened Gabriel's curiosity about souls. He experimented by cutting off parts of the insects and concluded that their souls were distributed throughout their bodies. He then wanted to see the soul with his own eyes, but he found nothing in the insect experiments.

Gabriel then began to consider exploring human souls. He knew that humans couldn't live without their heads, so he decided their souls were in their brains. Gabriel had considered marrying his childhood friend Alicia Klingerman just to see if he could access her soul that way, but in 2008, she had to move, so he took action. He invited her to his secret laboratory in the forest, and as they embraced, he killed her by holding her right ear while inserting a needle, one of the ones his father used on insects, into her left ear. As Alicia died, Gabriel saw a small, shimmering cloud on her forehead and assumed it was her soul.

His obsession with souls continued to grow, and he became interested in FullDive technology because it had the potential to explore human souls. He went so far as to start learning Japanese and playing VRMMORPGs, and went on to win two Japanese GGO awards. During the Bullet of Bullets tournaments as Subtilizer, he put himself within his opponents' reach for the second time by anticipating the enemy's lines of thought and creating ambushes, then using the grappling skill Army Combative to rip their weapons from their hands and shoot them with their own weapons. During one tournament, he wondered aloud if his opponent's soul would be delicious.

Later, Glowgen Defense Systems was offered a contract by the National Security Agency (NSA) to attack the Ocean Turtle and steal the Soul Translator technology. Gabriel accepted the contract and even personally led the strike team once he learned that the Soul Translator dealt directly with the human soul.

There, Gabriel found the Soul Translator and decided to use it and see the virtual world for himself. He logged in as the virtual god of the Dark Territory, Vecta, who, according to legend, slept in his vault behind a magical lock.
