Goblin Slayer - Figures

Goblin Slayer is a Japanese light novel series written by Kumo Kagyu and illustrated by Noboru Kannatsuki. The first novel was published in February 2016, and since then, 12 volumes of the story have been released. There is also a manga series, an anime television series, and an anime film that aired in 2018 and 2020, respectively. The story revolves around an inexperienced priestess who is rescued by a mysterious man known as Goblin Slayer. As the story progresses, several different interesting characters are introduced into the story. Some of these characters have even had action figures created for them and are available for purchase online. 1/7 Scale Goblin Slayer Cowgirl Figure

This 1/7 scale figure of Cow Girl is based on her appearance from the cover illustration of the 3rd volume of the light novel. This figure has most certainly accomplished that, as it looks exactly like the image it was meant to portray. History of the Goblin Slayer series

The plot of Goblin Slayer begins in a fantasy world where adventurers fulfill contracts for gold and glory. People come from far and wide to become adventurers and join the guild, for various reasons and motivations. One day, an inexperienced priestess joins her first adventuring party and seems to have bitten off more than she can chew. The group finds itself in danger when the contract goes wrong and her party is wiped out by goblins. Just as she fears the same fate, a mysterious man known as Goblin Slayer comes to her rescue. It seems to be just a coincidence that she was there, as Goblin Slayer's sole purpose is to eradicate goblins, no matter who is present.

Development of the Goblin Slayer series

Goblin Slayer was first published on an online forum in October 2012. After some time, the author, Kumo Kagyu, rewrote the story and submitted it to several publisher competitions. It didn't win any prizes at the Fujimi Fantasia competition, but it was picked up by GA Bunko after being entered into their competition. For this reason, Goblin Slayer's commercial publisher is GA Bunko. Since the light novel's first publication in 2016, it has received very positive critical reception. In fact, it ranked fifth in Takarajima's annual light novel guide in 2017.
