Hoodies, Backpacks and Apparel - Attack on Titan
For an anime fan or otaku, being able to support and display their favorite show or anything that represents their interests can be a universal sense of pride. Attack on Titan offers a wide range of merchandise that leaves fans satisfied and proud.
Clothes
When the word "clothing" comes to mind, the first thing most people agree on is that it falls under the "T-shirt" category. Fans can find over 50 designs on the official Attack on Titan website, in a physical store, and online on other websites. It's also possible to order custom T-shirts from an independent artist or even have them handmade.
Skirts (not the high-waisted skirt in the anime) and dresses, unfortunately, are reportedly hard to find, though they do exist. You'll have to ask a freelance artist, make one yourself, or do some extensive research online. Leggings may be easier to find than dresses and skirts. Most designs are of Titan muscles, which can be misinterpreted as just a special design. As for leggings designs that clearly show that fans are Attack on Titan fans, online stores offer designs with the Survey Corps logo, a Scout uniform with a waistband skirt and harness outline, and even a Levi Ackerman design. Coats, jackets, and cardigans are also available in online stores and also for a limited time in brand stores. When fans want a more realistic look rather than a designer look, fans may be interested in Attack on Titan cosplay, which is easily found online, as Attack on Titan is a very popular anime among cosplayers.
Hoodies
Finding hoodies isn't difficult. Many major online stores sell hoodies with a variety of designs, from Survey Corps logos to a fan's favorite character. Hoodies range in price from about $8.99 to $50 (excluding shipping and taxes). The most popular are Survey Corps-style hoodies and those inspired by the Scout Regiment. Because of this, they usually sell out quickly and are often out of stock.
Backpacks
Classic backpacks usually have the Survey Corps logo printed on the front. These bags are available in beige, black, blue, green, and white. Pastel-colored backpacks are also available in pink, mint green, and purple. Messenger-style bags are the second most popular and are also available in the basic colors of black, beige, green, blue, and white.
Boston bags are rare and can command a higher price than typical satchels and messenger bags, starting at around $100 (excluding shipping and taxes). ECObags polyester tote bags are the least expensive, starting at $4.99 (excluding shipping and taxes) due to the cotton fabric. Designs for these bags can range from a simple monochrome beige or white bag with the Survey Corps logo to an extravagant illustration of one or more characters printed on the bag, with a more elaborate starting price of around $20 (excluding shipping and taxes).
Duffel bags, like Boston bags, are few in number but have richer colors and patterns printed on them. Most Attack on Titan duffel bags are all green with an all-white or blue Survey Corps logo. These bags start at around $20 (shipping and taxes not included).
Attack on Titan Accessories
Attack on Titan merchandise offers a wide range of selections. For example, character-exclusive watches have become a new trend in recent years. Leading watch brand Citizen, INDEPENDENT, launched a collaboration campaign to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Attack on Titan by creating two watches based on Eren Jaeger and Levi Ackerman. The watches have a high-quality leather strap with the characters INDEPENDENT x Attack on Titan on the inside of the watch, as well as the Survey Corps logo in white and blue. The back features the specific character, Eren or Levi, engraved with the characters from the collaboration brand. These watches retail for approximately $375 (shipping and taxes not included).
Necklaces are another popular item. Necklaces with the Survey Corps logo in silver, silver and white, or silver and blue are sold. Other designs include Eren's key necklace, given to him by his father and worn throughout the story. These necklaces are primarily gold, matching the color scheme in the anime series. Depending on the quality, these necklaces can cost up to $4 (excluding shipping and taxes).
Other accessories fans can find to enhance their Attack on Titan gear include mugs, blankets, pillows, badges, notebooks, pens, keychains, socks, cell phone cases, figures, posters, plush toys, stickers, bracelets, shoes, baby items, embroidery patches, and much more.
Attack on Titan Clothing Collaboration
An eyewear company called Yabushita Group also collaborated with Attack on Titan in October 2019. The company created two styles of eyewear frames based on the 3 most popular characters: Eren, Levi, and Mikasa.
The first model is called the "Eren & Mikasa" model, which features dark gold-tinted square frames and a thick bridge. The nose pads are a regular light color and round in shape. The hinges on both sides of the glasses have a beige-colored pattern that represents the Thunder Lances of the Survey Regiment, and the temples are thick and dark green to represent the Survey Corps' cloak.
The second model is the "Eren & Levi." This pair of glasses has a sleeker, thinner design with a rimless back. The nose pads are more translucent and clear compared to the Eren & Mikasa model, and have a smoother bridge. The screws and hinges are a well-detailed replica of the maneuvering gearbox, while the temples are wide and thick, representing the dark brown Survey Corps soldier's boots.
