History of the Iron Man series
Iron Man is a recurring character who makes several appearances in the Marvel Comics series and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Iron Man's real name is Tony Stark, a wealthy businessman and ingenious scientist. Tony Stark is kidnapped and his captors force him to build a weapon of mass destruction. Instead, he created a mechanized suit of armor and escaped his captors. After his escape, he continued to develop this armor. He spends time adding many different features such as weapons or technological devices to perfect it. Tony Stark eventually uses this armor and subsequent versions to become Iron Man.
