Jack Skellington The Nightmare Before Christmas - Figures
Of the holiday films, The Nightmare Before Christmas enjoys the status of both a Halloween and Christmas film. It is the legacy hero Jack Skellington would have wanted. Jack stands out among children's film protagonists with his off-putting and creepy design. As such, he remains an incredibly popular character today. Here are three Jack Skellington figures that illustrate his popularity as a multi-holiday, multi-genre hero: "Nendoroid The Nightmare Before Christmas Jack Skellington: Sandy Claws Ver.", "Kingdom Hearts Play Arts Action Figure No. 7: Jack Skellington," and "Super Deluxe: The Nightmare Before Christmas - Jack Skellington."
Nendoroid Jack Skellington Figure The Nightmare Before Christmas: Sandy Claws Ver.
Good Smile presents the cutest and creepiest Christmas helper in this Nendoroid figure. Jack wears a Santa outfit to become the Sandy Claws and take care of Christmas duties for the year. Given Jack's original design, this figure stands an inch taller than standard Nendoroid height. The two face plates, featuring a happy smile and a puzzled look, retain the original art style from the movie. A second head piece allows fans to pose Jack with or without his Santa hat and felt beard. The figure includes plenty of accessories to help bring the Christmas spirit. A bag full of toys, a creepy teddy bear, and an elegant gift box complete the holiday scene. Jack's loyal sidekick, Zero, also comes along for the ride, wearing festive reindeer antlers.

Kingdom Hearts Play Arts Action Figure #7: Jack Skellington Figure
This imposing figure from Square Enix depicts Jack Skellington as he appears in the Kingdom Hearts video game franchise. Jack is tall and lean, his long limbs the same proportions as in the film and games. His pinstriped gothic suit cleverly hides the fully articulated joints that allow fans to pose Jack in his most dramatic glory. The three expression options—a smile, a laughing face, and an angry face—expand the posing possibilities. The costume details, like his flared bat-shaped bow tie, all look as accurate as a stop-motion figure from the original film. Textural details, like the wispy print on Zero's body, take the figure to the next level.

About Jack Skellington
Jack Skellington is the main character in the 1993 film The Nightmare Before Christmas. His terrifying appearance earned him the title of "Pumpkin King" in Halloween Town.
Background
Although Jack enjoys his role as Pumpkin King, he laments the monotony of his life and yearns for something more. While sleepwalking, Jack discovers the gates to Holiday Worlds in the Hinterlands. Upon discovering Christmas, Jack falls in love with the holiday and hopes to return to it that year, giving him the change he's been longing for. Jack eventually learns that his identity may not align with the spirit of Christmas and that Halloween is truly where his heart lies. Despite his terrifying nature, Jack acts like a gentleman and warmly toward those around him. His naive and overtrusting nature nearly ruins Christmas but opens the world of Halloween Town to the true spirit of Christmas.
SKILLS
Jack's greatest talent lies in his ability to frighten humans. He details the length of his frightening story in the song "Jack's Lament." His specific talents include his banshee-like screams, which surpass the best efforts of any human or animal. The extent of his reputation extends to England, France, and Kentucky. Since Jack is already dead, he no longer feels pain. This allows him to perform dangerous stunts, such as setting his body on fire. He can also remove body parts and continue to use them. He demonstrates this talent when he uses his own ribs to play fetch with his dog and when he removes his own head to perform Hamlet-inspired monologues.
Other important characters in The Nightmare Before Christmas
The Nightmare Before Christmas features a variety of fan-favorite characters. Here's a brief rundown of Sally and Zero's characters.
Exit
Sally is a humanoid rag doll created by Dr. Finklestein and Jack's love interest. Sally struggles with her creator's cruel and possessive nature, which limits her freedom. She yearns to escape and demonstrates her strong will throughout the film, including poisoning the doctor. Despite her best efforts, she is unable to express her feelings for Jack until the end of the film. Her shy nature toward Jack subsides enough to allow her tenacity to shine through, and the two share their first love's kiss.
Zero
Zero is a ghost dog and Jack's pet. As a ghost, Zero's body takes the form of a sheet, referencing classic Halloween ghost costumes. His nose, a glowing pumpkin, is reminiscent of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and plays a similar role throughout the story. Zero exhibits all the typical traits of a dog, particularly through his loyalty to Jack.
