Nami's New Attack Explained:
Nami's New Attack Explained: How Strong Is Zeus's Lightning Blast?

The Wano Country arc is one of the most dynamic arcs in the entire series. A lot happened, a lot of battles were fought, a lot of sides changed, and all of this made Wano Country one of the best arcs in the entire One Piece series. Surprisingly, Nami was featured a lot in the series, especially in some of the fight scenes, which is quite strange for her, considering she doesn't have many powers compared to most of the other characters. Nevertheless, Nami received significant power boosts in this arc, and in this article, we will explain how Zeus's new technique helped Nami in Wano Country.
Nami managed to obtain Zeus after his soul merged with her Clima-Tact, which allowed Zeus to access new powers and abilities throughout the story. Ninpo: Raitei creates a massive, mobile electrical discharge that allows Zeus to move and get closer to his target, even if he misses on the first hit.
The rest of this article will focus on Zeus and his powers and abilities after joining Nami. We've already explained how Zeus survived and eventually joined Nami as her loyal partner, but this article will give you more detailed information on the cloud's powers and abilities. There will be spoilers ahead, so be careful!
What is Zeus's Ninpo: Lightning Blast?
After Zeus became a member of Nami's Clima-Tact, Nami gained access to three distinct attack techniques that ultimately proved quite powerful and useful in her battles. In this section, we'll give you some basic information about each of these attacks so you can compare them with Zeus's abilities when he was with Big Mom.
Zeus Breeze Tempo is the first of these attacks, and it was actually unknowingly imposed on Zeus by Nami. Nami gives Zeus several black balls and a weather egg with a storm cloud inside, after which he grows quite large. Nami then uses her Clima-Tact to manipulate the attack from Zeus, even against his will. The resulting lightning attack is a combination of her inherent powers and Zeus's.

Ninpo: Raitei is the main technique we're focusing on in this article. Nami summons Zeus and then gives him a weather egg. She then uses her Clima-Tact and smashes him into the ground, while Zeus follows the same movement pattern. The attack creates a massive electric discharge in the area, but even if you manage to dodge it, the current is sensitive and can focus on the opponent until it actually hits them, which is how Nami defeated Ulti.
Finally, we have the Grow Up attack, which is used thanks to the abilities of the growing Pop Green in the second model. Namely, each time Nami squeezes the handle of her staff, its size increases, the new size being determined by the pressure applied; the more pressure she exerts, the longer the staff grows. She can use this technique to change and manipulate the size and shape of the Clima-Tact to inflict more damage on her opponents.
Explain the powers and abilities of Zeus
Zeus is derived from a portion of Big Mom's soul, making him significantly more powerful than the other bros. This grants the bro enough willpower to push back the Yomi Yomi no Mi's soul protection. He can still take damage from the Devil Fruit user, as demonstrated when Brook cut him in half; however, he was able to survive due to the Devil Fruit's composition.
When Zeus transforms into a cloud, he can soar, produce both a steady "gentle rain," and unleash lightning powerful enough to kill Vinsmoke Judge in one hit. He can create massive, destructive storms when he teams up with Prometheus. However, firing such powerful blasts can severely injure Zeus, shrinking him and rendering him unable to attack for a while. Zeus has the ability to attack his own mistress, Big Mom, as well as unleash shocks involuntarily if someone manipulates him and releases the energy he concentrates within him.
Zeus can grow and become Big Mom's throne, becoming denser and more substantial like sea clouds. Zeus can fly, as demonstrated when he piloted Big Mom after the Straw Hat Pirates to chase them and when he took Pudding and Sanji to the wedding destination. He is also exceptionally fast and was used by Big Mom as a means of transportation.
Aside from the powers and abilities he possesses with Nami, Zeus also had three special attacks while with Big Mom. The regular Raitei (Thunderbolt), in which Big Mom summoned Zeus and charged him with electricity, after which she struck her opponent with her incredible strength and a powerful lightning bolt. Indra was used to fire electric bolts at enemies from a distance, while the most powerful of these, Tenman Daijizai Tenjin, creates a barrage of thunder attacks from a large cloud that causes explosions throughout the area. Thunderbolts are sentient and can focus on targets if they try to avoid them.
How and when did Zeus join Nami?
At some point during the Wano Country Arc, Zeus was locked away by law, and Big Mom had to work without him until his escape. Upon his return, the Empress tells him that she no longer needs him, while Prometheus scolds him. The woman then orders Hera to eat him to become stronger than him, ignoring Zeus's pleas not to kill him, agreeing to disappear completely from her and never be seen again.
Big Mom, however, responds that she cannot allow him to go wherever and however he pleases because she is taking a part of his soul. Zeus then tearfully apologizes to Nami for betraying her, declaring himself a coward for not opposing his creator's orders and was willing to sacrifice himself for the navigator, whom he asks to watch his last gesture.
Freed from Hera's grasp, he then attacks Big Mom, but she catches him, extracting his soul and giving it to her new friend. Nami throws the Black Balls at him to recover his energy and escape, but Zeus claims he cannot feed on them given his condition, being subsequently devoured by Hera.
But he manages to survive, and his soul merges with Nami's Clima-Tact. When he hears Momonosuke communicate that Luffy is alive, he expresses relief, and the navigator is shocked to see his weapon speak. Zeus explains that he managed to save himself because, just before being devoured, his soul moved into the Clima-Tact, which can now stretch and change shape at will, thus constituting an important addition to Nami's arsenal.
Nami replies that she doesn't intend to have a stressful talking weapon, and he remembers that the navigator hadn't forgiven him yet, but reveals that without Big Mom's power, he can't leave the Clima-Tact. He then helps the group fight Ulti and save Tama during the battle against the Beasts and the Big Mom Pirates.
As the group escapes the enemies pursuing Tama, Zeus emerges as a cloud from the Clima-Tact, asking to become Nami's servant again. When she calls him her companion, he becomes excited and electrocutes the enemies in front of them. Outside the bathhouse, Zeus mourns Big Mom's defeat, so Nami asks him to choose between her and the Empress. His cloud thus reaffirms his loyalty.
