Legendary Super Saiyan Transformation - Dragon Ball

The Legendary Super Saiyan, more often referred to as the Full Power Super Saiyan, is one of the many Super Saiyan transformations in the Dragon Ball franchise, which consists of anime, manga , video games, films, merchandise, and much more. In Dragon Ball, the Saiyans are a race of warriors capable of altering their physical strength, energy, and other abilities by undergoing special transformations, and the Legendary Super Saiyan form is one of these many special transformations. The Legendary Super Saiyan form takes center stage in the film Dragon Ball Z: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan , in which the film's main antagonist, Broly, is himself a Legendary Super Saiyan. The form also appears in that film's sequel, Dragon Ball Z: Broly – Second Coming. The form was originally created by Toei Animation Studios and specially designed by the author of the original Dragon Ball manga, Akira Toriyama. The Legendary Super Saiyan form also appears in a number of Dragon Ball video games, including Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle , Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3, Dragon Ball Fusions, and many more.

Features, usage and power

The Legendary Super Saiyan form is an extremely rare and powerful form compared to other forms, such as Super Saiyan 2 and Super Saiyan 3 , and only occurs once every thousand years. In his Legendary Super Saiyan form, users can access virtually unlimited energy reserves. During his encounter with the Z Fighters, Broly in his Legendary Super Saiyan form is able to easily overpower Goku , Gohan , Vegeta, and Future Trunks while each is in their Super Saiyan form, along with Piccolo in his Super Namekian form.

Appearance

When a Saiyan undergoes a Super Saiyan transformation, they undergo several drastic physical changes. In the Legendary Super Saiyan form, the user's irises and pupils disappear, leaving them with solid white eyes. Like virtually all other Saiyan transformations, the Saiyan's overall size and muscle mass are greatly increased. Additionally, a Saiyan in the Legendary Super Saiyan form has upward-spiking, gold or green hair. Legendary Super Saiyans also sense an aura of energy around their bodies, similar to many other Super Saiyan forms.

Background story

The Legendary Super Saiyan form has been described in Saiyan folklore as a being of immense power. In episode 100 of Dragon Ball Super , Vegeta indicates that the form may be the only "true form" of the Saiyans. In the original video animation "Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans ," a Legendary Super Saiyan is said to have destroyed the Saiyan's home planet. The form was created by the animation studio Toei to create a "genetically exclusive" state available to only one Saiyan. The Legendary Super Saiyan can be considered a berzerk state and the maximum-powered version of Super Saiyan Type C. It also falls under the category of Super Saiyan Type B and one of the Super Saiyan Type Broly forms, which are considered part of a different evolutionary path compared to the "graded" forms and Levels 2 and 3. Finally, it is considered the final form of the Super Saiyan form.

Mergers, improvements and variations

Like many other Super Saiyan forms, the Legendary Super Saiyan can be enhanced and has several variations. Karoly combines Goku's full-powered Super Saiyan form with Broly's Legendary Super Saiyan form to create a unique fusion. Additionally, Karoly Black fuses the Legendary Super Saiyan with the Super Saiyan's pink form. For example, the Legendary Super Saiyan form can be combined with the Great Ape form, resulting in Broly's version of the Golden Great Ape form. In the Dragon Ball Xenoverse game series, Broly enhances the Legendary Super Saiyan form with dark magic and changes color, taking on a purple hue with a purple-black aura around him and black markings around his eyes.

Other anecdotes

There are some contradictions regarding the exact timing of the Legendary Super Saiyan's appearance. In the Frieza Saga (the second story arc of Dragon Ball Z) , Vegeta states that 1,000 years have passed since the last Legendary Super Saiyan appeared, not that they appear every thousand years. In the Shin Budokai, however, Goku states that the Legendary Super Saiyan is a powerful warrior who appears every 1,000 years. Kale originally referred to this state as a Super Saiyan's "berserker state." In Universe 6, the Legendary Super Saiyan is actually considered demonic and malevolent.

Therefore, this Legendary Super Saiyan state could simply be the ability to transform into a Super Saiyan like Goku did against Frieza for the first time. Or it could be the berserker state that Broly achieves in his appearances in the Dragon Ball Z movies.
