Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) Story

The story takes place during the Taisho era. A young boy , Tanjiro Kamado Tanjirou, has supported his family since his father's death. The Kamado family lived peacefully on a remote mountain. However, everything changed one day when Tanjirou was in town selling charcoal. The family had been massacred by a demon while he was away, and he finds the remains of his family upon his return. The only survivor is his sister, Nezuko Kamado , who had been transformed into a demon. This was all caused by a demon called Muzan Kibutsuji , the very first demon and the progenitor of other demons. A demon slayer, Giyu Tomioka , arrives and sends the siblings to see Sakonji Urokodaki on Mount Sagiri. Tanjirou vows to avenge his family by becoming a demon slayer and find a way to bring back his sister.

Characters

Tanjiro Kamado - the main protagonist of the series. One day, his family was massacred by a demon and his sister Nezuko was transformed into a demon. In order to turn his sister back into a human, Tanjiro becomes a demon slayer and joins the Demon Slayer Corp. He travels with other members of the Demon Slayer Corps to complete missions and find a way to bring his sister back.
Nezuko Kamado - Tanjiro's younger sister, who was once an ordinary human, but was one day transformed into a demon by Muzan Kibutsuji. Even though she is a demon, she has the ability to survive without consuming human blood. In exchange, she must sleep to recover her strength. She travels with Tanjiro and stays in a small box during the day to avoid sunlight.
Zenitsu Agatsuma - One of the main protagonists and a member of the Demon Slayer Corps. He completed the Final Selection with Tanjiro and is his traveling companion. He has low self-esteem despite his actual strength and has a cowardly personality. He was trained by a former Thunder Pillar, which is why he uses the Breath of Thunder style.
Inosuke Hashibara - Also one of the main protagonists and a member of the Demon Slayer Corps. He went through the same selection process as Tanjiro and Zenitsu. He is a hot-tempered young man who always challenges people and hates losing. He has a muscular build and wears a boar head mask to cover his feminine face. Since he was a baby, he was raised by boars, which is why he uses the Breath of the Beast style.
Giyu Tomioka - The current Water Pillar of the Demon Slayer Corps. The man who met Tanjiro and Nezuko after their family was massacred. He told Tanjiro to see a man named Sakonji Urokodaki and become a Demon Slayer in order to find a cure for his sister.
Sakonji Urokodaki - Former Water Pillar of the Demon Slayer Corps. He is Tanjiro's master and taught him the Water Breathing style.
Sabito - Former apprentice of Sakonji Urokodaki. He appeared before Tanjiro during his preparation for the final selection exam. He assisted Tanjiro in his training to cut the rock.
Makomo - Former apprentice of Sakonji Urokodaki. Makamo and Sabito were both adopted by Sakonji, who trained them to participate in the Demon Slayer Corps' final selection.
Shirokami - a guide during the final selection of the Demon Slayer Corps.
Kurokami - a guide during the final selection of the Demon Slayer Corps.
Tamayo - A skilled doctor who was transformed into a demon by Muzan Kibutsuji. Her impressive medical and pharmaceutical skills allowed her to undo Muzan's curse and alter her body to survive on a small amount of human blood. Her Blood Demon Arts can create illusions and control other minds. She works with Tanjiro to defeat Muzan and find a way to transform demons back into humans.
Yushiro - A boy who was transformed into a demon by Tamayo due to his illness. He is Tamayo's traveling companion and serves as her assistant and bodyguard. His Blood Demon Art is the Blindfold Technique, which allows him to hide or reveal his presence.
Muzan Kibutsuji - The main antagonist, leader of the Twelve Demon Moons and progenitor of other Demons. He is the very first demon and is responsible for the massacre of Tanjirou's family and the transformation of Nezuko into a demon. He usually disguises himself and lives like an ordinary human.
