One Piece is an anime that certainly has its share of strong and powerful characters. And while its protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy, is certainly one of them, some characters could be even more powerful than the manga's cheerful and quirky protagonist. In this article, we'll analyze one of those potential characters, pitting Luffy against Queen, the second most powerful member of Kaido's crew, right after King. The two almost clashed in the series, and in this article, we'll reveal what would happen if the two actually did.

There's no doubt that Luffy could defeat Queen in a fight. For example, Luffy defeated Queen's boss, Kaido, in a fight after activating Gear 5 and the true powers of his Devil Fruit, the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika. But even before that, Luffy was strong enough to defeat Queen, even though the latter constantly underestimated him.

His physical strength is such that he can defeat the strongest fugitives of the Eastern Sea and even rival that of the fishmen, as demonstrated in the battles against Arlong and Hody Jones, whose strength was even superior to that of the average of their race. Especially against Hody, after two years of training, he clearly proved superior, so much so that he defeated him despite being fed energy steroids.

Queen has demonstrated fast enough reflexes to easily parry Luffy's Gomu Gomu no Gun and throw him aside. Despite his fighting style appearing improvised at times, it is precisely his creativity that makes him an unpredictable opponent, capable of turning critical situations around by occasionally adapting to the fight. His rubber body also makes him extremely durable and immune to sea bullets, normal blows, and even electricity. However, he is not immune to swords and knives, nor to dehydration or poison, although, after the fight with Magellan, he becomes immune to a wide variety of them.

The ancient Zoan-style Devil Fruit known as Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Brachiosaurus, which Queen ingested, allowed her to transform into a Brachiosaurus. Once fully converted, Queen grows enormously in size, even surpassing Big Mom, who stands at nearly eight meters. She is able to use the Brachiosaurus's signature long neck in combat, primarily to strike distant opponents. Her physical weight has also increased considerably, which she can use to her advantage as few opponents can withstand the force of her enormous, modified body striking them.

Yes, the Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Brachiosaurus is an extremely powerful Devil Fruit that would give Queen the edge over most of her opponents, but against Luffy's Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika? It wouldn't do much, which is why Luffy wins.

Rayleigh trained Luffy to become an expert Haki user. He knows how to use Observation Haki, which he first instinctively used against Mihawk, avoiding a blow that would have severed his arms. He also masters Armament Haki to a high degree, making it an essential component of Gear Four. Using this ability combined with the powers of his own Devil Fruit, Luffy can also ignite his fists with friction.

He also knows how to use the rarest form of Haki, Royal Haki, which is his favorite. With it, he could knock out fifty thousand fishmen in one blow. During his confrontation with Kaido, he proved to be one of the few individuals capable of using it to enhance his attacks. His third fight against the emperor also tore the sky apart.

We know that Queen is capable of using Kenbunshoku Haki and Busoshoku Haki, as we've seen him use them in the series. We also know that he can't use Royal Haki. As for specific details, we don't really have them, as Queen's Haki was never a prominent feature in the series, so that's all we have.

One of the two cutlasses Queen wears around his waist, which has been strapped to his side since he attempted to cut Sanji's torso, has been broken. Additionally, Queen has access to unique necklaces that release blades from within. Twenty years ago, Queen attacked the Nine Red Pods with a bat-like weapon. Queen attacked X Drake with a machine gun in Onigashima. Drake's own response suggests that the bullets for this weapon are rare. Zoro eventually destroyed the weapon.

Queen uses various cybernetic modifications to his body to greatly aid him in combat. He claims to be a cyborg with technological prowess surpassing even that of Vegapunk, the greatest scientific mind of all time and Queen's former companion. The many high-tech weapons and mechanisms Queen has placed within his body are frequently used in conjunction with his Devil Fruit powers.

His upgrades include rocket launchers, metal claws, laser beams, and extendable mechanized limbs. He has a machine gun, fake fangs, and a laser beam cannon inside his mouth when he transforms into a brachiosaurus, the latter being a particularly advanced technology that great engineers like Franky and Vegapunk have only mimicked. He also has artificial fangs at the end of his brachiosaurus tail. Additionally, a mechanical cable embedded in his neck area allows him to extend the already large reach of his brachiosaurus neck. He also has voice-activated rocket launchers on his sides and retractable needles in his teeth.

Although Queen relies on his weapons and cybernetic enhancements, even if his skills weren't as good, he would still have the edge over Luffy in that category.
