About Mad Moxxi

Mad Moxxi is a seductive and sometimes motherly character in the Borderlands game series. She owns several bars and created the Underdome. She was once a remarkable fighter and often tries to hide her Southern accent.

Background

Mad Moxxi is a non-player character in Borderlands. She plays an important role in the overall story of a non-player character. She is initially known as the wife of a popular clan leader, Jimbo Hodunk of the Hodunk clan. She flees the clan just before they attempt to recruit her daughter as a clan bride. Her sadistic and lustful nature is represented throughout the series as she is usually looking for a new husband, after three failed marriages as of Borderlands 3. She has set up a fighting headquarters and bars in which she hosts to attract fighters, with herself being the ultimate prize. She has two children, her daughter Ellie and her son Scooter, who both appear throughout the Borderlands game series. Mad Moxxi eventually helps recruit the Vault Hunters, which is one of her most notorious roles in the series.

Special Abilities

As a bartender, Moxxi grants players two weapons whenever her tip jar reaches a certain threshold. Both weapons she grants, The Good Touch and The Bad Touch, are useful in the game. Throughout the series, many weapons are inspired by Moxxi, which heal players from damage inflicted during battle.
