Miku no Hi Kanshasai 39's Giving Day (Hatsune Miku Event)
Miku no Hi Kanshasai 39's Giving Day (ミクの日感謝祭 39's Giving Day), known in English as "Miku's Thanksgiving Festival; 39's Giving Day" was Hatsune Miku's first live concert. It took place on March 9, 2010, and featured other prominent Future Media Crypton -owned Vocaloids such as Megurine Luka None , Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len , with a special guest appearance by MEIKO None.
Summary
On March 9, 2010, Hatsune Miku held her first solo concert at Zepp Tokyo in Odaiba, Tokyo. The concert was held as part of the promotion for Sega's upcoming video game "Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- 2nd." It was organized by Crypton Future Media and Sega, with additional support from piapro. The admission price was 7,090 yen. In addition to being the first concert, it was also noted for having one of the largest set lists of any Hatsune Miku-related event, with 39 songs sung. These songs were all included in the video for which the concert was being promoted.
Tickets sold out immediately, and attendees were treated to a concert lasting over two hours. The overall response from fans was overwhelmingly positive, with fans appreciating the set list and finally being able to support Hatsune Miku at a public, officially licensed event.
Home outing
The event will be released on CD, DVD, Blu-ray, and UMD (Sony's exclusive PlayStation Portable format)—a first of its kind. While the CD version simply contained music on two CDs, the other formats featured video footage of the concert itself. Of all Miku concerts, Miku no Hi Kanshasai 39's Donation Day is most famous for releasing the concert audio on CD. This way, one can drive with the concert audio playing and experience the concert atmosphere, unlike studio-released CDs.
Musicians
Miku no Hi Kanshasai 39's Donation Day featured a brand new group specifically dedicated to Hatsune Miku events, known as " The 39. " Over the years, its members have changed, but the group itself is a staple at events such as Magical Mirai . Here is the list of artists who will be participating in the 2010 edition:
Drums: Shin Orita
Keyboard: Jun Abe
Bass: Shingo Tanaka
Guitar: Akitoshi Kuroda
