The Pearlbaton triplets are vice-captains of the demi-human mercenary group Ironfang , which belongs to Anastasia Hoshin . Mimi is the eldest, followed by Hetaro, and then Tivey. All three resemble each other with blue eyes and orange hair, orange cat ears, and orange tails. Mimi keeps her hair long and tied back on either side of her face, while her brothers keep theirs at a medium length. All tend to wear the same uniform of hooded white robes with orange trim as Ironfang , but Tivey wears an additional monocle.

Personality

Mimi is brash and energetic, much like her Captain Ricardo Welkins Personality. She is somewhat childish and gives off an impression of innocence, though she is not as stubborn as she appears at first glance, and can be perceptive despite her outward appearance. According to the author, she is the strongest of the trio.
Compared to Mimi, Hetaro has a much more cautious personality and is receptive to the mood swings of others. Due to Ricardo's leadership approach and Mimi's overall outlook, Hetaro has become the calm person who gives orders and maintains order. Iron Fang is on the right track during combat scenarios. He is also very respectful of Mimi. According to the author, he is the wisest of the trio.
Tivey is much stricter than his siblings and often acts as the straight man in the dynamic. While Mimi and Hetaro both enjoy the outdoors, he prefers to stay indoors and read. He is the clerical backbone of the Iron Fang , and Anastasia offered him a permanent position in the Hoshin Trading Company (though he declines and chooses to remain with the mercenary group). According to the author, he is the most intelligent of the trio.

History

The triplets were abandoned by their parents and taken in by Ricardo and have been living with the Iron Fangs ever since. Thus, Mimi affectionately refers to Ricardo as their father. She first appears in the story alongside Anastasia, lowering Subaru's guard while simultaneously acting as his bodyguard. Later, Mimi and Hetaro participate in the battle against theWhite Whale and use their superior agility on their liger mounts to provide artillery support. After this, Hetaro returns to the capital to rest and is replaced by Tivey (potentially preserving Mimi's stamina by using their Divine Protection ) as the Iron Fangs continue their campaign into the Mathers' territory to confront the witch cult.

Relationships

Mimi, Hetaro, and Tivey Pearlbaton - The triplets get along very well as siblings despite their disparate personalities and tendencies.
Ricardo Welkin - Ricardo acts as a father figure to the three siblings after effectively adopting them. He cares deeply for them all and even went so far as to disobey orders to search for her when Mimi went missing. Mimi refers to Ricardo as their father.
Anastasia Hoshin - Anastasia often relies on the triplets' expertise. Their inconspicuous appearance combined with their fighting ability make them ideal agents in a multitude of scenarios, from social to combat. Additionally, Anastasia sought to hire Tivey full-time for his administrative skills, though he declined and chose to remain attached to the Hoshin Trading Company. Iron Fangs None
Garfield's Garland - Mimi developed a crush on Garfield and he saved her when she was kidnapped and injured.

SKILLS

Divine Trisection Protection - Mimi, Hetaro, and Tivey are able to share physical and emotional burdens between themselves. This ability allows them to spread damage between them and potentially survive fatal blows. Mimi's inherent strength means that her brothers often take on her burdens to keep her in the fight longer.
Resonance Wave - The Pearlbaton siblings are able to unleash a destructive and violent blast of mana from their mouths together. This must be done two at a time (in conjunction with their Divine Protection). They have limits on the number of times they can use it per day, with Mimi being able to launch up to five blasts and Hetaro and Tivey being limited to two each. Thus, the maximum number of times they can use this ability per day is four. They learned this ability from its creator, Ricardo.
Magic Users - Mimi, Hetaro, and Tivey are all magical beings and each possesses a different affinity. Mimi is attuned to Earth, Hetaro to Water, and Tivey to Fire.

In addition to their abilities, Mimi wields a large wooden staff, Hetaro a thin wooden wand, and Tivey a golden rod topped with a large blue crystal that they use in combat.
