Synopsis

The Matsuno brothers—Osomatsu, Karamatsu, Choromatsu, Ichimatsu, Jyushimatsu, and Todomatsu—are back, living their lazy NEET lives. With these six troublemakers, every day brings a new mishap!

Background

Mr. Osomatsu is a multimedia franchise based on the manga Osomatsu-kun. The anime series is a serial adaptation of Fujio Akatsuka's anime series, which includes manga, novels, games, theatrical anime, and more. The third season of the anime was announced in July 2020. The anime is once again directed by Yoichi Fujita at Studio Pierrot with series composition by Shu Matsubara, character designs by Eiji Abiko, and music by Yukari Hashimoto. The anime will premiere on October 12 in Japan on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, and TV Aichi. It will be broadcast overseas by Viz Media.

Characters

Jyushimatsu (Voice of: Daisuke Ono)
The fifth born of sextuplets, Jyushimatsu is an energetic goofball with a kind and outgoing personality. Of his brothers, he is the strangest and most childish. He usually wears a yellow hoodie.

Choromatsu (Voice of: Hiroshi Kamiya)
The third-born of the sextuplets, Choromatsu is the most logical of his brothers and also considers himself the most mature. He is an otaku idol with a weakness for cute girls. He tends to overthink things and acts like the straight man of the group. He often wears green clothing.

Ichimatsu (Voice of: Jun Fukuyama)
The fourth-born of the sextuplets, Ichimatsu is sensitive and has trouble expressing his emotions. He is a cat lover with a lone-wolf personality who prefers spending time with cats rather than people. He often wears a purple hoodie.

Todomatsu (Voice of: Miyu Irino)
The sixth-born and youngest of the sextuplets, Todomatsu is effeminate and fashion-forward, making him a real girl magnet. He appears cute and innocent on the surface, but he also has a cold and manipulative side. He has pink streaks in his hair and often dresses in pink.

Osomatsu (Voice of: Takahiro Sakurai)
The firstborn and eldest of the sextuplets, Osomatsu considers himself the leader and the most responsible of the group. Although laid-back, he tends to cause a lot of trouble for his brothers. He usually dresses in red.

Karamatsu (Voice of: Yuichi Nakamura)
The second-born of the sextuplets, Karamatsu is confident and charismatic, but he is often oblivious to what is going on around him. He tends to take everything said to him very seriously. Although he tries to act cool through his dress and is always quick with a confident retort, more often than not, he is seen as anything but. He usually dresses in blue clothes with his sleeves rolled up.

Totoko (Voiced by: Aya Endo)
Totoko is the romantic interest of the sextuplets and Chibita.

Matsuno Matsuno (Voice of: Kazuhiko Inoue)
Matsuzo is the father of the sextuplets.

Matsuno Matsuyo (Voice of: Kujira)
Matsuyo is the mother of the sextuplets.

Iyami (Voice of: Kenichi Suzumura)
Iyami is a flashy, self-centered man who loves French culture and claims to have traveled all over France. He has eccentric features, including buck teeth, a thin mustache, and a Renaissance-style haircut. He often steals, cheats, or lies to get what he wants. He poses oddly and shouts "Sheeeh!"

Chibita (Voice of: Sachi Kokuryu)
Chibita is the brothers' rival. He is short and hardworking. He is often annoyed by the brothers' lazy behavior and refusal to pay their bills. He has a passion for oden and is obsessed with creating the perfect type.

Dekapan (Voiced by: Yoji Ueda)
Dekapan is a middle-aged man with an imposing physique, a kind heart, and a laid-back personality. He loves animals and strives to help others.

Dayon (Voice of: Nobuo Tobita)
Dayon is a simple, easy-going man with a big mouth that allows him to swallow anything he wants. He's a bit of a glutton.

Hatabo (Voice of: Momoko Saito)
Hatabo is a simple and kind young man with a childish personality who is also a bit of an airhead.
