Synopsis
Anne is the princess of the Kingdom of Mysteria, and Grea is a half-dragon, half-human princess. Both girls live in Mistalsia, a mysterious world where tribes of humans, gods, and demons coexist, and they are about to begin attending the world's most prestigious magic school, the Mysteria Academy.
Background
Mysterious Friends is a television anime series based on the social game Rage of Bahamut . Originally titled Rage of Bahamut: Friends of Manaria and later Friends of Manaria , it was first announced by Cygames in August 2015 and was scheduled to air in April 2016 as part of the Ultra Super Anime Time program, but was postponed after an announcement was released in March regarding the dismissal of the series' entire staff. In October 2018, the anime's release was re-announced. The anime is now directed by Hideki Okamoto with series composition by Satoko Sekine, character designs by Megumi Ishihara, and animation production by CygamesPictures. The anime will air in Japan in January 2019.

A half-dragon, half-human girl. She enrolls at Mysteria Academy to learn how to better live with humans.
Anne (Voiced by: Yoko Hikasa)
The princess of the Kingdom of Mysteria and a student at Mysteria Academy. She possesses overwhelming magical talent and can summon spirits. She is a cheerful girl with a strong sense of justice and naturally attracts others with her charisma. She is also naive about the ways of the world and a bit of an airhead.
Heinlein (Voiced by: Chiharu Sawashiro)
A professor at Mysteria Academy who teaches dark magic. He is an expert in his field and is able to handle any situation with calm and composure.
Miranda (Voice of: Kikuko Inoue)
A teacher at Mysteria Academy who teaches sacred magic. She speaks in a peculiar manner and acts eccentrically. Her hobby is costume making, and her office is filled with questionable costumes.
Redhead (Voiced by: Kimiko Koyama)
A first-year student at Mysteria Academy and a total idiot who ends her sentences with "desu." She befriends a one-eyed monster from the sky. Although she needs more practice with magic, she carefreely enjoys life at the academy.
Hanna (Voiced by: Nana Mizuki)
The student council president of Mysteria Academy. She loves the academy more than anyone and has a strong sense of responsibility towards it. She is adored by many students. She is extremely proud and capable of getting things done, but at the same time, she can be shy and find it difficult to speak her mind.
Owen (Voice of: Wataru Hatano)
A member of the Imperial Knights who enrolls at the academy to protect Anne. He is extremely serious and rigid, but he cares deeply for Anne. He studies magical swordsmanship at the academy.
Guillaume (Voiced by: Yuma Uchida)
A student at Mysteria Academy, he achieves excellent grades and is also active on the academy's reading committee. However, he can also be impatient and lose his temper.
Jill (Voiced by: Hiroshi Naka)
The oldest teacher at Mysteria Academy, who teaches the basics of dark magic. He has a calm personality and teaches his students kindly.
Poppy (Voice of: Lynn)
A student at Mysteria Academy. She adores student council president Hanna and serves as her secretary. She has extensive knowledge and a calm demeanor.
