Neon Genesis Evangelion 64 Game
Neon Genesis Evangelion 64 is a video game released in 1999 only in Japan for the Nintendo 64 console created by Bandai. The game is a single-player action game based on the Evangelion television anime series and the animated film The End of Evangelion. The game takes place according to the story's timeline and the user can control and fight as an Evangelion Unit in the majority of major battles in the television anime and film.
Evangelion 64 features original cutscenes and the original cast of voice actors from the series. The game offers multiple difficulty levels and three different fighting styles.
Gameplay
Neon Genesis Evangelion consists of three attack types. The first attack type is the conventional one-on-one fighting style of gameplay, in which the player can move an Evangelion unit back and forth in a 3D-2D path. The player attacks the opponent using a series of correct commands to perform cinematic attacks and grabs. In addition, the player can perform basic punch attacks.
The second type of attack involves using weapons. Some parts of the game include mini-games that must be completed to use a weapon. Therefore, it is necessary to complete the mission.
The last type of attack is a free-for-all, where the player is always on a "3D-2D" plain and can move and attack freely.

Authentic
This game takes very real elements from the anime and incorporates them into the battles.
-
AT Land
Just like in the anime, the player must neutralize an Angel's AT field before an attack can become effective. -
Synchronization rate
In the anime, the synchronization rate between a pilot and an Evangelion unit is crucial for control. In the game, the synchronization rate has a direct effect on the power of an attack. The higher the synchronization rate, the greater the damage dealt. -
Power cable
All Evangelion units are powered by an umbilical power cord. Without it, an Evangelion only has an onboard battery with a lifespan limited to 5 minutes. Just like in the anime, if a power cord is cut in the game, the player only has 5 minutes to defeat the enemy.
