Nergigante Monster Hunter - Figures

The Monster Hunter series is a collection of action role-playing games developed and published by Capcom and first released in 2004. Each entry typically features the player killing or trapping intimidating monsters that are much larger and stronger than their characters. The main objective usually involves crafting better equipment from the defeated monsters until they are strong enough to handle even more deadly monsters. Today, 5 main games have been released along with a myriad of re-releases, spin-offs, and various other types of media projects. In response to the franchise's success, many types of merchandise have been produced. While this includes things like clothing, plushies, and other trinkets, one of the most popular types of merchandise is figurines. Figurines of Nergigante, one of the Elder Dragons in Monster Hunter World , are particularly popular with fans. Some of the most popular Nergigante figures include the Capcom Figure Builder Monster Hunter Standard Model Plus Vol. 13 Box Set (Re-run)”, the “Capcom Figure Builder Monster Hunter Standard Model Plus Vol. 10 Box Set (Re-run)”, the “Capcom Builder Monster Hunter Standard Model Plus Vol. 14 Box Set (Re-run)”, and the “Capcom Figure Builder Creators Model Monster Hunter Nergigante”.

Capcom Figure Builder Monster Hunter Standard Model Plus Vol. 13 (Reprise)

This item is one of several different sets in Capcom's Monster Hunter Figure Builder series. Each set includes approximately six different medium-sized figures, each based on a different monster. Each order includes a random assortment of figures in a blind bag format, which may result in duplicates or missing figures. Volume 13 of this series includes a version of the deadly Nergigante. This recreation shows the intimidating monster standing on two legs with its wings spread and its jaw full of deadly sharp teeth wide open. This pose allows the viewer a wonderful glimpse of its wings, which have a rather beautiful yellow, blue, and purple pattern that somewhat betrays its otherwise deadly appearance. Despite the figure's small size and modest price, it is quite detailed, especially in terms of its scales and spikes. Other monsters featured in this set include Kulve Taroth, Kushala Daora, Teostra, Lunastra, Xeno'jiiva, and a bonus clear version of Lunastra.

Like the item mentioned above, this set includes a variety of monster figures, including Nergigante. However, this version of Nergigante is a stronger and deadlier variant of Nergigante, the Ruiner Nergigante. This special variant introduced in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne has evolved over many battles to have larger spikes, as well as more brutal attacks and clever strategies. Two distinct features between Nergigante and the Ruiner variant in terms of appearance are the Ruiner's overall metallic sheen and its darker colored skin. The monster itself stands on two legs and its mouth is wide open, as if it were in the process of letting out a deafening roar. Other monsters included in this set are Bazelgeuse, Lavasioth, Radobaan, a secret monster, and a bonus light version of Velkhana.

Unlike previous sets, this figure is sold on its own. To compensate, this figure measures nearly 30 centimeters long and boasts an impressive amount of detail and color. Nergigante is posed upright on all fours atop a base sculpted in the shape of a large purplish crystal. Its large, pointed wings are tucked under its body as best it can, as it appears to scan the ground below for its next prey. Its two large horns, numerous teeth, razor-sharp claws, and the deadly spikes covering its body make it clear that whoever its next target is, it will likely meet an unfortunate end soon.

  • Manufacturer: Capcom
  • Features: Painted PVC and ABS figure, non-articulated and not to scale
  • Dimensions (approximately): 320 x 300 x 280 mm

About Nergigante

Nergigante is one of the fifth generation Elder Dragons and can be found in Monster Hunter World and its expansion, Borne by Ice. As an Elder Dragon, Nergigante is considered incredibly powerful, often requiring a group of the most skilled Hunters to defeat. This monster is also unusually aggressive and is likely to attack any potential threat without a second thought. In addition to its powerful claws, Nergigante also uses its many spikes to cause incredible damage to any unfortunate opponent. As a Hunter fights Nergigante, more and more spikes will continue to grow on them and, if allowed to harden, will allow the creature to inflict even more damage. These spikes can also be used as projectiles in certain cases. Despite its overwhelming strength, it has no special elements associated with it and is surprisingly susceptible to status ailments and debuffs.

Other important characters in Monster Hunter

As one of the strongest monsters in Monster Hunter World, Nergigante hunts and consumes almost all other creatures, but it specifically targets other Elder Dragons as a source of energy. In particular, Nergigante preys on Kushala Daora, Teostra, and Lunastra.
