"One Piece" vs. the Marvel Universe: Which Characters Would Win (Comparison)?

We know that there are many different fictional universes with powerful characters and entities. Comic book fans have been reading about how their superheroes have accomplished incredible things for decades. Manga fans, on the other hand, are the same way, and over the years, we've seen shōnen manga and anime produce primarily power- and combat-oriented content involving very powerful beings. With these two facts in mind, we decided to have a little fun and compare two fictional universes altogether. In this special article, we're actually going to pit two famous universes against each other to decide which fictional universe is stronger: One Piece or the Marvel Universe.
Although it's a close match, One Piece characters would likely be able to triumph over most Marvel characters, with the exception of omnipotent cosmic entities, but it wouldn't really be a fair fight. If we balance everything with characters of the same type (because One Piece doesn't have such omnipotent characters), One Piece definitely triumphs over Marvel.
The Marvel Universe does indeed have many different, incredibly strong characters, but the same could also be said for the characters in the One Piece universe, which is full of characters capable of easily destroying planets with their powers. But we'll go into this discussion in more detail. As usual, the article will be divided into several individual categories, as we'll compare the two universes from the perspective of each of these individual categories and then give you a conclusion based on the points we've awarded to one universe or the other.
Strength and physical abilities
One piece
Well, in terms of physical power and strength, One Piece fans will know that there are many powerful characters in the series, but also characters who would be completely useless in a fight. Indeed, One Piece is an adventure series, and while there are plenty of shonen-style fights, the focus has always been on the adventure part and exploring a new world. But in the end, it's the balance that matters.
Namely, when you actually consider the weakest and strongest characters in the series, you will realize that the opposite poles are quite far apart, but when you look in the middle, you will see that there is a perfect balance between all the characters could, in one way or another, fit in a common drawer, which means that there are no major differences between most of the characters; what makes the difference is a minor, usual detail, which is good in this regard.
The weakest One Piece characters are completely useless and wouldn't be of much use in a fight against anyone. They are physically weak, have no powers, and can be taken down with a single punch.
On the other hand, One Piece has many powerhouses, both among the pirates and other characters. Just think of Shanks, Whitebeard, Kaido, Garp, or the Giants; you can even add Zoro to the equation, as his physical strength is exceptional. These characters are so powerful that they could be a match for anyone, and since anime is generally more ridiculous in terms of powers and abilities than other genres, they are probably even more dangerous than we think.

Hulk, Thor, and Hercules are just a few of the physically dominant characters in the Marvel Universe. Since Hercules possesses unlimited power, all of these characters are capable of lifting large amounts of weight. Additionally, some characters are capable of traveling at breakneck speeds and can quickly jump between planets without the need for special equipment.
Sentry, in particular, is one of the most powerful superheroes in Marvel history, as he is able to perform feats that other superheroes can achieve, but on a much higher level. He has the ability to travel at the speed of light and lift enormous amounts of weight. Men with the strength of Sentry, Hulk, and Gladiator can move and erase planets on their own.
Then there are cosmic beings with immense physical prowess, such as Galactus, Knull, and the Cosmic Pantheon, who can obliterate planets and rule entire universes. These aliens are said to possess unimaginable physical talents.
To compensate for their lack of superpowers, some Marvel characters are also skilled hand-to-hand combatants. These include characters like Black Widow and the Punisher. And these characters can defeat opponents who possess superpowers but lack the combat prowess of these characters.
Conclusion
Looking at these comments, it's difficult to give a simple answer. Namely, the Marvel Universe certainly has a more diverse set of characters, but aside from a few cosmic beings, the others are either on par with or, in most cases, weaker than the characters in One Piece. As we said, balance is important, so we have to distribute the points in our first category, as we can't determine a winner between these two fictional universes.

Special Powers and Abilities
One piece
Interestingly, One Piece doesn't have any superheroes. It has characters with superhuman powers and abilities, but it doesn't really have superheroes or supervillains like other universes. Oda's universe is magical in this regard, but all the powers and abilities we've seen are normal for that universe, and while not all characters have supernatural abilities, they're nothing that would make them seem like gods to most other characters.
The main source of supernatural powers in One Piece are Devil Fruits. Devil Fruits are exceptionally powerful fruits that grant the user incredible powers. They also range from useless to practical to ridiculously overpowered in every way imaginable. Whitebeard's Devil Fruit allowed him to create earthquakes, Luffy's Devil Fruit transformed him into Nika, the Sun God, Blackbeard's Devil Fruit allowed him to control darkness, Crocodile's Devil Fruit turned him into sand and made him invulnerable, and so on. These powers are actually quite impressive, and thanks to them, One Piece characters can rival any other universe.
The second major power is Haki, whose three forms—Observation, Armament, and Conqueror's Haki—give each character a large power boost. Many characters can use one or two types of Haki, but only the strongest can use all three, and these characters are the crème de la crème of the One Piece universe—Shanks, Silvers, Whitebeard, Luffy, Ace, Boa Hancock, Katakuri, Big Mom, Kaidou, Sengoku, Donquixote Doflamingo, Chinjao, Zoro, Eustass Kid, Yamato, Garp, Oden, and Gol D. Roger. These characters are nearly invincible with these powers and if they possess an additional Devil Fruit.
There are also many other powers in the series, particularly regarding weapons and technology. The World Government possesses extremely powerful weapons. The Pacifista and the Seraphim are exceptionally powerful; you also have the science of the Vinsmoke family, as well as powerful swordsmen, such as Mihawk and Zoro.

The Marvel Universe has a special quality in that each character is distinct in their own right due to their individual differences in abilities and prowess. For example, Tony Stark is a typical human with the intelligence and wealth to build suits of armor powerful enough to repel godlike creatures. Of course, godlike creatures like Thor can control thunder. And then there's Loki. Enough said.
There are also characters with cosmic abilities, such as Captain Marvel. She can project beams of energy through her body and even enhance her physical talents with her incredible abilities.
Of course, there are also others who possess magical talents, such as Scarlet Witch and Doctor Strange. Strange can use the mystic arts thanks to his mystical skills. Scarlet Witch, on the other hand, possesses darker abilities that give her the ability to control reality itself.
Mutants are also extremely powerful individuals with a range of unique skills and talents. Professor X has the power to "fry" his opponent's brain by entering their minds with his telepathic abilities. Some are more physical in nature, such as Wolverine, who can instantly heal from any injury or wound thanks to a healing factor.
The Cosmic Pantheon, the Living Tribunal, the Beyonder, and the One Above All are examples of extremely powerful cosmic beings who are nearly omnipotent. Because of their strength, these characters have abilities that allow them to accomplish anything.
Conclusion
This is also a very tricky category. Namely, if you ignore the cosmic deities, One Piece certainly triumphs because the Haki and Devil Fruits, as well as the weapons seen in the series that can destroy entire islands, surpass even Marvel's magic. But the cosmic beings pose a bit of a problem, as One Piece doesn't seem to have any characters that are that omnipotent. Again, for the sake of balance, we'll have to split the points, because Marvel's only asset is its cosmic beings, while One Piece's characters would lay waste to the others without much trouble.

Important figures
One piece
One Piece has some real strengths if we focus solely on the important characters. The focus is, of course, on Luffy's crew, and even if we can remove Chopper, Nami, and Usopp from the equation when it comes to fights (at least serious fights, it's not like they're helpless), we still have Nico Robin, Jinbei, Franky, Brooks, Zoro, Sanji, and Luffy, which is incredible.
After unlocking his Devil Fruit's true potential and activating Gear 5, Luffy himself became a ridiculously overpowered entity.
Many supporting characters are also exceptionally strong. There's Shanks, who is a powerhouse in his own right; there's Monkey D. Garp, one of the physically strongest characters in the series; the late Whitebeard and Gol D. Roger, as well as the latter's late son, Portgas D. Ace. Sabo also can't be ignored, and Monkey D. Dragon is probably a powerhouse as well. And that's just to name a few.
The series also features some incredibly powerful antagonists, including numerous Marine admirals, the new Knights of God, and powerful pirates like Blackbeard, Kaidou, and Big Mom. All of these guys, along with many others, are exceptionally powerful and deserve respect.
Now, One Piece doesn't have any omnipotent cosmic entities, but Imu's character could come close, although it remains to be seen what her exact role in the story will be.
wonder
The original Avengers, which include individuals like Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, and Thor, among others, are the most well-known Marvel characters. The two most robust members of the original Avengers are Hulk and Thor. But the Avengers have also expanded their ranks to include super-strong characters like Captain Marvel and Scarlet Witch, both of whom can take on just about anyone in Marvel.
Sentry is often considered the most powerful Earth-based superhero in comics due to his ability to alter molecules and his virtually indestructible nature. While Molecule Man may not be as well-known, he is nonetheless a powerful character.
On the other hand, there are a ton of strong characters in Marvel who serve as antagonists. Reality can be altered by Thanos and his Infinity Stones. Galactus has the power to consume entire worlds. And Knull was a creature before time itself.
Of course, there are cosmic beings with powers that allow them to rule the entire cosmos. The Living Tribunal is often recognized as the second most powerful deity in the Marvel Universe, after the Supreme God. The Beyonder, an "invader" from the Marvel reality, is powerful enough to destroy the Living Tribunal in the meantime. Of course, the all-powerful deity of the Marvel Universe is the One Above All.
Conclusion
Regarding the latter category, it must be said that the most prominent Marvel characters would lose to the most prominent One Piece characters. If it were such a fight, Luffy and the others would win. Namely, Marvel's cosmic entities are secondary characters, while the most important characters in the universe, the original Avengers, are not as powerful as Luffy, Zoro, Shanks, or Whitebeard. This is why One Piece ultimately wins the final point.
Points: One Piece 3, Marvel Universe 2
One Piece probably triumphs over Marvel, but cosmic beings are a problem we can't solve in this article
The points suggest that the characters in the One Piece universe are somewhat stronger than those in the Marvel universe, and we can only agree, but there is a catch. Namely, we have to exclude the omnipotent cosmic characters from Marvel, because One Piece doesn't have such characters, so it wouldn't be a fair fight. If we only used characters of the same type, especially the most important ones, Luffy, Shanks, Whitebeard, Garp, Roger, Zoro, Ace and the others, we could easily beat the Marvel Avengers and the most important villains of this universe.
