In April 2010, a small number of 3,000 lucky fans in Japan had the opportunity to watch the OVA episode "One Piece Film Strong World: Episode 0," which was an adaptation of the cult classic Chapter 0 written by Oda. The fans won a contest that ran from November 16, 2009, to January 15, 2010, and were given the chance to see the OVA. Ten years later, the OVA was finally released to the public on YouTube (albeit for a limited time), where all fans can finally see it. The story of the OVA closely follows that of Chapter 0

Three years before the Golden Age of Piracy, at Marineford, the Navy's headquarters, an alert is sounded following the clash between Gol D. Roger's pirates and Shiki. Knowing this, Vice Admiral Garp ends his meeting with Admiral Kong and refuses to be promoted to admiral. He boards a ship with Sengoku, who would have preferred to stop Shiki alone. In the New World, on the Sea of ​​Ed War, Buggy is frightened by Shiki's fleet and demands his captain abandon the fight, then tries to convince Crocus to speak to the captain. The latter retorts that he is ready to fight.

Meanwhile, Shiki invites Roger to join him in his quest for world domination using his expertise in ancient weapons. Roger refuses, unwilling to give up his freedom. The two crews engage in combat, and the Roger Pirates manage to sink nearly 50% of Shiki's ships thanks to the drastically changing weather conditions. He woke up with a piece of his ship's helmet stuck in his brain after the Battle of Edd.

Two years later, the Roger Pirates disbanded after taking control of the Grand Line and becoming Pirate King. News of Roger's Navy's arrest spread a year later. Shiki was furious to learn this and decided to attack the Navy headquarters, believing that Roger the Pirate was too strong to be detained and that he was the only person who deserved to be by his side to rule the world.

In response, Sengoku and Garp stated that they would not allow him to carry out their plan and that his hometown of East Blue, Loguetown, would actually be the site of his execution. Garp told Shiki that East Blue was an example of a safe haven, but Shiki was astonished and refused to believe that the Pirate King had been killed in the weakest sea in the world. Thus began a long battle that would eventually raze half of Marineford. Shiki was captured and taken to Impel Down after the battle.

Although listed as a non-canon work, the OVA adapts a canon chapter
