On top of that, they're generally very well-written characters whose stories are always fun to explore. And that's what we're going to do in this article. Namely, One Piece fans will know that Komurasaki is a very important character in the Wano Country Arc, especially because of her connection to Orochi, but who's really behind the mask? Is she a new character or an old one? In this article, we'll tell you who Komurasaki really is and if she's Oden's daughter, Kozuki Hiyori.

Yes, Komurasaki is actually Kozuki Hiyori, the daughter of Kozuki Oden. She disguised herself as a courtesan known as Komurasaki to get close to Kurozumi Orochi, whom she hated because he played a role in her parents' deaths. She tricked him into loving her and later took revenge, watching Orochi die in the flames of Kazenbo.

The rest of this article will focus on Komurasaki and her true identity, as well as her relationship with Orochi in One Piece. Hiyori survived the murder of her family

Hiyori was born 26 years before the story begins aboard Moby-Dick. That same year, when Roger's father joined the Pirates, her family moved to Oro Jackson. Two years later, her mother fell ill near Wano and, on the orders of the ship's doctor, was prevented from continuing the voyage. For this reason, her two sons also stayed with her, and on her island, Dog-storm and Cat-viper remained. Here, Hiyori met her father's other servants, who had been waiting for her return for years. However, he resumed the voyage with the crew and did not return until the following year.

Her father began publicly humiliating himself by dancing almost naked once a week in front of the shogun's palace, which is why the locals began to speak ill of him. One day, seeing her sad, Oden asked her what was wrong, so she asked him if he was really calm given the rumors about him; her father replied that she was because she could rely on her family, so Hiyori replied that she would always stay with him.

Eighteen years before the beginning of the story, Yasuie and his men went to Kuri Castle to protect Oden's family, who had gone with his nine retainers to face the enemy. However, the ten samurai were defeated and captured by Kaido's crew and then sentenced to death. Meanwhile, unaware of what had happened, Hiyori made an origami sword to give to her father upon his return. Her mother visited her father while he was imprisoned, and he gave her the Ame no Habakiri for Momonosuke and the Enma for Hiyori. The woman then gave her swords to Tenguyama Hitetsu for safekeeping. Hiyori and her brother are close to their mother.

Kurozumi Orochi and Kaido had Oden executed, while the Emperor's crew burned down Kuri Castle, trapping Hiyori, Momonosuke, and Toki inside. When some servants joined them, her mother told her that she would send them to the future with Momonosuke, believing that in twenty years, the Kozuki family would be resurrected. Hiyori witnessed her brother's refusal, wanting her and her mother to accompany them as well, but was later persuaded by Kin'emon.

Toki then sent the latter, Momonosuke, Kanjuro, Kikunojo, and Raizo, into the future. Hiyori instead managed to survive the castle fire thanks to Kawamatsu, who dug a tunnel to a river and took care of her, leaving his food to feed her and trying to cheer her up despite her grief. Seven years later, however, she left a note for her fisherman telling him she was safe and drifted away, later meeting courtesans who took her to Kyoshiro. Kyoshiro revealed to her that he was actually Denjiro, while her granddaughter told him that she had become separated from Kawamatsu, who had rescued her.

To protect her, Denjiro asked her to call herself "Komurasaki" and asked her not to divulge anything he had discovered about her. He then made her the most famous oiran in Wano. Years later, while she was held captive by Orochi, she persuaded some criminals to give her all their money in exchange for her release. However, she then gave it to Denjiro to give to the needy, devastating these individuals. In the event that Komurasaki had to be removed from Orochi, the samurai also described his plan to "kill" her and instructed her to hide her blood under her kimono every day.

She would later avenge them by contributing to Orochi's downfall.

Komurasaki would naturally attract the attention of Kurozumi Orochi. The two hadn't known each other before, but they had always wanted to meet ever since they heard about each other. The Shogun fell under his spell. Orochi, of course, didn't know who Komurasaki was because she hid her true identity with her mask. Orochi was originally in love with Komurasaki and wished to make this woman his wife.

However, the shogun became furious when Komuraski punched Orochi in the face after he attacked Toko for a trivial matter. Due to her attractiveness, Orochi allowed her to plead for forgiveness, but she refused, causing him to lose his temper and refuse to make her his wife in the future. He became even more enraged, however, when Kyoshiro decided to kill her without her consent. Naturally, he didn't know that Kyoshiro had never killed Komurasaki, but despite their altercation, he truly lamented her "death."

Much later, after Kanjuro's death and perhaps during Kazenbo's flamboyant rampage on Onigashima, Orochi heard the sound of a shamisen, the instrument Komurasaki played so skillfully. Komurasaki would not appear before Orochi for a long time. He was immediately comforted by it and crept toward the sound amidst the chaos and destruction.

He had no idea who the player was, but when he recognized Komurasaki, he was overjoyed and began to cry. Thus, after learning that Komurasaki had never died, Orochi was overjoyed and relieved; Komurasaki smiled at him when he first approached her and began playing her favorite song, "Moon Princess," on the shamisen. She planted a Sea Stone in him while he was preoccupied with his music, preventing him from using his Devil Fruit powers. But because of his own actions, Orochi soon found himself buried behind a mountain of debris.

Komurasaki finally removed her mask in front of him, revealing her real name: Kozuki Hiyori, and coldly stated that she had never loved him when he was buried under that pile of wreckage. She confessed that she was Kozuki Oden's daughter, which enraged Orochi, who then said he would kill her. The Sea Stone, which allowed Orochi to change but would soon fall, was the only thing that could have spared his life when love disappeared. However, he was stopped in this form by Denjiro, who gave him the final head cut and left him to perish.

Orochi ordered the small painting to burn Hiyori the moment Kazenbo arrived, even though he was about to disappear. However, Kazebo chose to seek comfort from his master, accidentally setting him on fire. Hiyori was able to see Orochi's death after Kazenbo's passing. Even though she claimed to have personally tried to kill him in the past, she saw his death before her.
