One Piece: Where was Katakuri when Pudding was kidnapped?

The Charlotte family from One Piece and its members have been discussed more than once on this site. In most cases, we've talked about either Big Mom or Charlotte Katakuri, the two most important and relevant characters in the family; Big Mom was an emperor, while Katakuri is best known for his rivalry with Luffy. In this article, we'll be discussing Katakuri, but in the context of something that happened to his sister, Charlotte Pudding. Namely, in this article, you'll discover what Katakuri was doing while his sister was being kidnapped by the Blackbeard Pirates.
Blackbeard had Pudding kidnapped during the Wano Country Saga
At the end of the fighting on Totto Island (part of the Whole Cake Island arc), Pudding looks worriedly at the book Niji and Yonji were imprisoned in, then approaches Rabiyan and punches them for bullying Sanji. Shortly after, she angrily walks away as Oven prepares to transport the book to Whole Cake Island through a mirror. Cacao is then attacked and frozen by Kuzan and Van Augur, who kidnap Pudding, who is locked in a cell aboard the Blackbeard Pirates' ship.
Blackbeard's crew confronts the Heart Pirates, and when the ship is rocked, one of his captors explains that it is due to enemy blows, but points out that it would all be over soon given the emperor's strength. Pudding then replies that she would have thought twice before saying such a thing if her mother were still alive. The pirate laughs and reveals that Teach is fighting the very man who murdered her, pointing out that without ending the legends, the new era cannot begin.
Blackbeard's exact motives are currently unknown, but since he's holding her hostage tightly, we suspect the vile villain has a plan for her, and that Oda will provide us with more information about it later. But we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. At this point, we want to know what happened to Katakuri while his sister was kidnapped.
Katakuri was, at that time, fighting his own brother, Oven, due to hallucinations caused by Caesar Clown's gas.
Now, to determine that, we'll have to go back to the cover of "Ahh... An Emotionless Excursion of Germa 66," which featured Charlotte Pudding's kidnapping. So let's see what happened to Katakuri.
When Vinsmoke Reiju and Vinsmoke Ichiji broke into the Whole Cake Island lab and freed Vinsmoke Niji and Vinsmoke Yonji, it was Katakuri and Oven who came to fight them and stop them from doing what they wanted to do. While they probably both could have won, Caesar Clown suddenly entered the scene and released his gas, which, as you know, has very toxic properties and, in the case of the Charlotte siblings, it caused them to hallucinate. So, what were the exact consequences of this hallucination?
Well, as you might have guessed, Katakuri and Over were unable to fight the Vinsmokes, and they ultimately succeeded in their endeavor. On the other hand, due to the hallucinations in question, Katakuri and Oven begin to fight, believing that they are enemies and that this is what actually happened to them. This is why this moment is relevant because it actually reveals what Katakuri was doing when Pudding was kidnapped and why he did nothing to stop the kidnapping—he was fighting Oven, mistakenly believing that they were both enemies.
And that's the bottom line. We've revealed everything you need to know about Katakuri's fate during Pudding's kidnapping, and that's all we know for now. Oda may provide more details later in the series, but that's something we still don't know at this point. We'll just have to wait and see.
