Labophase is the center of operations on Egghead

Vegapunk's Egghead Island has one of the most interesting layouts in the entire series, location-wise. Visually, Oda really made an effort to make Egghead intriguing, and we can only confirm that he succeeded in his endeavor. The central part of the island, the Labophase, is what we'll be discussing in this article.

Labophase is the main laboratory on Egghead Island. It is used by Vegapunk and his satellites to conduct the island's most important experiments, which is why it is such an important location. From here, they can also monitor the entire island and are connected to it, but the laboratory itself is heavily guarded and access is restricted, which makes sense given the importance of this location.

The Labophase laboratory is protected by the Frontier Dome, an exceptionally powerful defensive system consisting of a group of extremely powerful lasers; only those who have consumed the Pika Pika no Mi, seeing how they themselves become light, are immune to the Frontier Dome—all others will be harmed. The power of the lasers can be varied on a scale starting at 000 (deactivation) and ending at 100 (maximum power).

The laboratory itself consists of three interconnected buildings simply labeled A, B, and C. There is also an underground laboratory. Each building consists of several floors, which is why Labophase's structure is so complex. In the following section, we'll explain the overall structure so you know every detail.

The structure of Labohphase explained

In this section, we'll review the general structure of Labophase and explain each segment so you can find your way around.

Build a

Building A is the main building of the Phase Lab, consisting of over four floors, making it also the largest. The second floor is known to be dedicated to the research of Organoids, synthetic organs used for medical purposes, while the third floor is used for research into synthetic minerals and diamonds used in industry. The fourth floor contains the control room from which Vegapunk can monitor the entire island. There is also an underground laboratory that was once used for Devil Fruit research.

Building B

The second building, Building B, has three floors in total, but unfortunately, its structure hasn't been revealed in detail. We know that the second floor of Building B houses the weapons research center, but nothing else has been revealed about this building, so this is—unfortunately—all we can provide for now.

Building C

The final building of the Labophase, Building C, also has three floors, but its structure is even more enigmatic than that of Building B. Namely, we know nothing about it. We know that Pythagoras was attacked by S-Snake on the third floor of Building C, but we have no idea what its purpose was.

There's also the Nikyu Room, which contains a bubble-leg formed from Kuma's memories and is located somewhere in the Labphase, but we don't really know in which building, so we can't give you any more details.
