Ryokogyu was sent to Wano to clean up the mess and retrieve Luffy.

On the fourth day of the Levely, Sabo and three Revolutionary Army commanders attacked Mary Geoise and managed to free Bartholomew Kuma; since Fujitora's actions indirectly helped them, Aramaki and Fujitora fought. Subsequently, however, Aramaki left for Wano and as he approached, he interfered with the communication between the Five Elders and a CP0 agent, asking the latter to stay where he was and stating that he would soon reach his position.

A week later, Sakazuki calls him to ask where he is, and he reveals that he has just spotted Wano; the superior then tells him not to do anything unnecessary, to which Ryokugyu replies that he is aware of it and tells him to remain calm. Arriving at Udon Prison, which he covers with lush vegetation, he absorbs the life force of the Kaido crew members he found there and kicks Queen, whom he demands to surrender. He then complains about the quality of the sake, pointing out that it still needs to be left to ferment.

He then hears the music of the party in the Flower Capital and goes there, cursing the pirates and the chaos they have caused in the world. While stating that it is difficult to gain influence, no matter how much one desires it, he meets Denjiro, Shinobu, Raizo, Kawamatsu, Inuarashi, and Nekomamushi, whom he tells them not to stand in his way, while they recognize him as a member of the Marines and, therefore, an enemy of their pirate allies.

The Admiral begins to unleash his powers and asks what they think they know about the world outside Wano, whose deities are the World Nobles, stating that if they are not part of the World Government, they have no rights. He then states that humans need to create socially inferior beings and that it is thanks to unaffiliated countries like this that this is possible, as they guarantee discrimination, adding that, therefore, he would not be breaking the law even if he killed thousands of local inhabitants, of whom he is willing to do anything to capture Straw Hat, defying those who stand before him.

Yamato, however, catches up to them and replies that what he said is unforgivable, attacking him in the head with his weapon. Aramaki is injured and points out the power of the girl's weaponry, Haki, to which he asks who he is. Proclaiming that he will not allow anyone to spoil the celebration of freedom, Yamato introduces himself as Kaido's son, surprising his opponent. Kozuki Momonosuke arrives in dragon form and agrees with the girl, stating that they will not allow her to disturb their saviors. He attempts to attack him with an energy wave, without success, so he bites him and forces him away from the capital as he declares he has a promise to his people.

Aramaki is astonished because he has never heard of a power that can transform someone into a pink dragon. Raizo then unleashes flames on him, and Aramaki pretends to catch fire but remains unharmed, telling him that it would be too trivial to defeat a Marine admiral like that. He then pierces the ninja and dehydrates him, then grabs the others with his powers as well, pointing out that they can't do anything against Mother Nature and that if Kaido hadn't been defeated, he wouldn't have come there.

He added that it was precisely the former emperor's power that kept enemies away from Wano, reiterating that he was willing to leave if the Straw Hats were handed over to him. Hearing the dragon refuse the others' help due to the burden of defending Wano, Aramaki claimed they were childish and that he was pitiful. Momonosuke told him to leave and, unexpectedly, released two waves of energy that pierced and set the admiral's plant-like body ablaze.

Shanks then corrects himself at another point and asks him if he wants to burn the entire city down, which he agrees to, pointing out that he has nothing in common with Kaido. At this point, however, he senses Shanks's Conqueror's Haki, which orders him to stop, sensing that the latter's crew is nearby. Unwilling to fight them, he decides to retreat.
