One Piece: Did Sanji Eat a Devil Fruit?

Vinsmoke Sanji is best known as the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates in Oda's One Piece manga. He is the fifth member of the crew and the fourth to join, at the end of the Baratie Arc. Today, Sanji has become a crucial part of Luffy's crew and, over the decades, has demonstrated incredible powers and abilities. His kicks are known throughout the pirate world of Oda's One Piece, and he has developed many powerful techniques with his kicks. In this aspect, Sanji is a character who could seemingly possess Devil Fruit powers, but is this the case? In this article, we will tell you if Sanji has ever eaten a Devil Fruit.
Vinsmoke Sanji did not eat a Devil Fruit in One Piece. He is one of the few characters in the series to become famous despite not possessing any special Devil Fruit powers. Everything Sanji has accomplished and done, he did through relentless training and experience, with the help of his family heritage. However, during a fan Q&A session, Oda revealed that if Sanji had consumed a Devil Fruit, it would have been the Sui Sui no Mi (Swim Swim Fruit).
The rest of this article will focus on Sanji's character in One Piece. We'll tell you whether or not Sanji ate a Devil Fruit, as well as some general information about his powers and abilities. This article may contain a smaller number of spoilers, so be careful while reading.
Sanji didn't eat a Devil Fruit, but we know which one he would have eaten if he had...
Vinsmoke Sanji is a very powerful character. He is known as one of the most powerful characters in the series and one of the best hand-to-hand fighters in the series; of course, he will likely become one of the best in the future. Now, Sanji's powers and exploits suggest that he has consumed a Devil Fruit, but is this true? It is not the case, namely that Vinsmoke Sanji has never eaten a Devil Fruit.

This makes Sanji one of the few characters (most notable being Zoro and Shanks) who is extremely powerful but has not actually consumed a Devil Fruit; most other powerful characters have their Devil Fruits to thank for their individual reputations.
And while Sanji didn't actually consume a Devil Fruit, author Eiichiro Oda revealed in the SBS (fan-friendly Q&A section) for Volume 98 what would have happened if Sanji had consumed a Devil Fruit. Here's the full transcript:
D: If Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, and Franky had become ability users, then what kind of fruit do you think they would have eaten? -PN 420-plot
O: I see, that's a pretty funny question~. Hmmm... what I'd like to see is... Zoro: Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu (Fish Fish Fruit, Mythic Type Model: Seiryuu) Nami: Goro Goro no Mi (Rumble Rumble Fruit) (Lightning Human) Usopp: Poke Poke no Mi (Pocket Pocket Fruit) (Infinite pockets in the body) Sanji: Sui Sui no Mi (Swim Swim Fruit) Franky: Buki Buki no Mi (Arms Arms Fruit)
Zoro: I'd rather have the sword transform into a dragon than Zoro. I think that would be incredibly cool. Nami: A true weather lady, now no one can stop her (except Luffy). Usopp: The perfect pocket for someone like Usopp who always has something up his sleeve. Sanji: It allows you to slide through walls or swim on the ground. If it were given to Sanji, it would become a pretty nasty ability. Franky: You can't get a better ability than that for Franky.
Despite not having a Devil Fruit, Sanji remains one of the best fighters in the series.
Sanji's kicks are the main source of his strength and power. Sanji has extraordinarily strong legs and feet, capable of breaking through boulders and easily defeating opponents much larger than himself, demonstrating that he possesses highly superhuman leg strength (like Bananawani or Mohmoo).
He can move with greater agility and superhuman speed thanks to his legs, as evidenced by the fact that, despite his final defeat at the hands of Kalifa, he was able to easily keep up with her (although he stated that he would refuse to fight a woman).
Sanji primarily uses his legs to fight, but his arms are so powerful that he can stand on them, increasing his adaptability in many situations. He can also perform a handstand with one hand. Although he has repeatedly been subjected to massive blows to the head and chest that caused little harm, his body displays superhuman resilience.
He even managed to properly acquire an El Thor from Enel while he was still slightly conscious, taunting his attacker. Sanji's speed, which is comparable to Brook and Luffy's at Speed Two, is one of his greatest assets. He can move so quickly that he can evade detection and attack individuals without anyone noticing. His body has become much faster and stronger over the past two years.
Although Sanji has demonstrated mastery of both Kenbunshoku and Busoshoku Haki, the former is his area of expertise and what he is best known for. Sanji is skilled at using Kenbunshoku Haki and even specializes in this style of Haki. With this type of Haki, he could sense the presence, power, feelings, and intentions of others. Even he was surprised when Charlotte Katakuri, who was a more skilled user of Kenbunshoku Haki, fired a projectile at him.
Sanji can use Busoshoku Haki in its most powerful projection form. Even though Judge's spear strike injured him, he did not demonstrate any use of this Haki before the fight. During their fight on Whole Cake Island, Sanji could also injure Luffy. Sanji used Busoshoku Haki to protect Carrot from Charlotte Daifuku's brilliant attack later in the same story arc, just after returning to Sunny with Luffy.
Although Sanji's principle as a cook is to keep his hands only for cooking, he has faced numerous weapons throughout the play. Sanji, according to his father, has received sword training. The extent of Sanji's expertise is unknown, however, as he only uses his hands for cooking and avoids the risk of damaging them during combat.
When using knives, however, he demonstrates remarkable knife handling and is quite precise, not hesitating to juggle multiple blades with finesse. He also displays great ambidexterity, using both hands equally to hold two knives simultaneously against Wanze. He can slice Wanze's ramen and place the pieces in a dish with sufficient precision. Kitchen knives are not designed to cut people, as Sanji explains in his distinction between them and Sabers.
