Original Sound Track (OST) - Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer)
Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) is an extraordinary manga and anime series that was a hit from the very first episode, and even non-anime fans couldn't help but notice. The animation, the humor, the charming characters, and the phenomenal original soundtrack of the series. Old and new fans alike have undoubtedly played "Gurenge" by LiSa and "From the Edge" by FictionJunction feat. LiSa thousands of times.
Whether Tanjiro and the group are running through a forest, Nezuko is struggling with her demonic nature, or her beloved Demon Slayers are battling a family of spider demons in the Natagumo Mountains, the soundtrack reinforces these moments and takes them to another level.
Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) Composers OST
The two composers and music producers who made the series' music possible were the two heavyweights of the anime community, Go Shiina and Yuki Kajiura respectively.
Masaru Shiina, known as Go Shiina, began in 1998 creating theme tracks and songs for video games like Hammer Champion None Idol Master , as well as Tekken 5 None 6 , and 7 before his talents began to be noticed, notably in the soundtrack of God Devourer . Shiina began composing songs and musical arrangements for anime series like Gyo: Tokyo Fish Attack None Tales of Zestiria , and then Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba alongside Yuki Kajiura.
Yuki Kajiura is another well-known musician, composer, and producer for many popular anime series like Fate/Zero None Sword Art Online , and Puella Magi Madoka Magica Unlike Go Shiina, Kajiura started making movie soundtracks in 1995 like Ruby Fruit before moving into anime and video game soundtracks before composing five of the series' most important songs like the Main Theme of "Kimetsu no Taiba" None To Destroy Evil None Prepare and Run! None Survive and Reclaim the Blade, My Boy , and Voice of the Past None
With such a moving and powerful soundtrack, fans are hoping for more series featuring confrontations between Go Shiina and Yuki Kajiura in the future, especially with the release of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train coming in summer 2020.
Demon Slayer Original Soundtrack
The Demon Slayer anime series and its accompanying soundtrack are epic, but not in the way many fans would initially expect. The beauty of the series lies in its slow pace, calm tone, and build-up, with guitar solos or an artist letting loose on the drums. Most of the soundtracks begin innocently and gently, some slowly with the sound of a piano or violin. The songs have an almost divine quality. Gradually, they begin to add more elements to swell the music, making it more complex and highlighting the singer's beautiful voice than when the songs initially begin, but continue to have a controlled energy that gives each song on the soundtrack a grandiose aura.
One of the soundtrack's greatest talents is the songs' ability to almost take the listener on a journey. None of the songs stay at the same pace for very long; they always add more instruments, a clash of cymbals, or opera singers in the background that suddenly completely change the tone. Sometimes, without even noticing, the tone of the song immediately changes with the invisible atmosphere the musicians manage to create. A point that is highly appreciated in the Demon Slayer soundtrack.
Episode 19
One of the most popular songs from the Demon Slayer soundtrack is the soundtrack to one of the biggest moments surrounding episode 19 with the music taking it to a whole new level.
Tanjiro Kamado's song is the ending song for the legendary episode 19 which was sung by the talented Nami Nakagawa, who worked with Go Shiina in the past on the ending theme for Gyo: Tokyo Fish Attack (OVA) This is a very special song in Demon Slayer tied to one of the biggest moments, not only in the series, but also one of the biggest moments in the anime as the Kamado siblings show Rui that their bond can never be broken as Tanjiro's water dragon transforms into fire as they defeat the powerful spider demon.
