PoPiPo (song by Hatsune Miku)
"PoPiPo" (ぽっぴっぽー), known by its official English title "Vegetable Juice," was released on December 11, 2008, and was composed by Lamaze-P. Hatsune Miku sings about vegetable juice and how amazing it is for her. "PoPiPo" is one of Hatsune Miku's most popular songs due to the nature of its theme and has spawned various memes and fan-made videos.
Background
"PoPiPo" has a catchy denpa-style melody. Hatsune Miku chooses a specific type of juice ("big pale blue juice") as her favorite and recommends it to the listener.
Although the song was popular on Nico Nico Douga with 2.6 million views, the song achieved much greater success on YouTube, with the three most-viewed videos totaling 11 million views. It has since become one of the most-streamed songs of the first Hatsune Miku boom era.
With the worldwide success of "PoPiPo", Lamaze-P composed derivative characters Teto's version (ぽっぴっぽーMk-II (Popipo MK-II)), Hatsune Miku's English version of PoPiPo, Luka's version, and Rin's version. It quickly became clear that the song would become a meme. Various fan-made videos were made of the song, featuring cosplayers dancing to the melody or singers covering the song.
Both the Japanese and English versions of Miku's PoPiPo appeared in the Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- series games.
In the officially approved English lyrics, she sings about being a "happy vegetarian," which led to fans accepting Miku as part of the character's attributes. However, this was somewhat challenged when the American branch of the Toyota collaboration showed Miku wanting to try (and eventually buy) a bacon-wrapped hot dog. Fans worldwide rejected the idea that Miku would enjoy such junk food.

Family market
During the first Family Mart 's "Loves Hatsune Miku" campaign in 2012, vegetable juice was sold for 300 yen (as opposed to the 200 yen cited in the song's lyrics). The juice's packaging was covered with the illustration of Hatsune Miku used in the song, and it proved to be one of the most popular items at the event. Family Marts nationwide were frequently out of stock of the juice throughout the campaign. The juice itself was green in color even though the lyrics read "big pale blue juice." It was generally believed that blue juice would not be appealing to the general public.
Additionally, Lamaze-P often tweeted or retweeted posts that showed pictures of the juice, often commenting on how amazed he was at the amount of love his song received.
