When it comes to geography, One Piece is one of the most diverse anime franchises you can find. Since the series began, its heroes have traveled the world and seen places of all types, shapes, and sizes. Some of these places have been mentioned but have yet to be discovered, and this article will focus on one of these locations: Laugh Tale Island, which is said to house the (in)famous One Piece treasure somewhere within its territory. In this article, we will tell you everything we currently know about Laugh Tale.

Laugh Tale is the final destination of the Grand Line and the location of One Piece. The island was named by Gol D. Roger after he and his crew arrived there and found the treasure left by Joy Boy. There are four poneglyphs known as the Road Poneglyphs, which, when read together, will reveal the locations of four islands leading to Laugh Tale.

The rest of this article will focus on Laught Tale Island and its connection to the One Piece treasure, as we intend to tell you everything we know about it. This is a rather complex topic, as little is known about Laugh Tale Island and the One Piece treasure, but we've decided to tell you everything we know. Be careful, as there are bound to be spoilers ahead.

What is Laugh Tale and where is it located?

Laugh Tale, or Raftel in the early episodes of the anime series, is the island geographically located at the end of the Grand Line that is said to be home to the infamous One Piece. The only people known to have reached Laugh Tale are Joy Boy and Pirate Pirates Roger, who named it "The Tale of Those Who Laugh" because they all laughed upon discovering this island and Joy Boy's treasure.

There are four known poneglyphs known as "Road Poneglyphs" that, when assembled, lead to four islands, once aligned, forming the location of Laugh Tale. One of them is located on Zou, another is in an unknown location; the latter two are possessed by Emperor Kaido and Big Mom respectively.

Little has been seen of the island, but when it has been mentioned, it has been shown with its coastline composed of cliffs with large expanses of desert. Although the fog makes it very difficult to see, the island appears to have fortress-like buildings and wooded areas atop the visible peaks. Laugh Tale is said to be the location of the Poneglyph River, a route that tells the true story of the Empty Century; finding it is Nico Robin's goal in life.

The Logsetters are unable to detect or record the island, even when they are on the island before Laugh Tale, Lodestar Island. For this reason, apparently, the only way to do so is through the use of the Road Poneglyphs, which are a set of four special red poneglyphs; each reveals a point on the world map when read. When all four points are deciphered, it becomes possible to discern the location in the center of these points where the true path to Laugh Tale will be revealed.

During the Void Century, Joy Boy left an incredible treasure on this island. Roger surmised the existence of one last island after reaching a dead end on Lodestar Island, with him acting strangely while they were there and believing the World Government was hiding something about it.

After temporarily recruiting Kozuki Oden into the Whitebeard Pirates for his ability to read poneglyphs, Roger resumed his journey across the Grand Line with the intention of reaching his true purpose. Eventually, the Roger Pirates were able to unravel the mystery surrounding the Road Poneglyphs, having found them all.

Upon finally arriving and finding the treasure left by Joy Boy, the Roger Pirates burst into laughter. Roger considered both the nature of the treasure and everything they had managed to learn from the story and Joy Boy to be a "funny story," which inspired him to name the island "Laugh Tale." The following events are not canonical and are therefore not considered part of the canonical story.

While on the island, an unknown member of the Roger Pirates created an eternal pose marking his location in case he or any of the crew wanted to return for any reason. Roger offered Edward Newgate information on how to get to Laugh Tale, but Newgate denied wanting to go.

As far as is known, the One Piece treasure is located on Laugh Tale. Laugh Tale is the final destination on the Grand Line and the location of the One Piece, according to legend. The island is named after Gol D. Roger, after he and his crew arrived there and found the treasure left by Joy Boy.

As we said, we can't be absolutely certain that the One Piece treasure is located on Laugh Tale, but from everything we know right now, the treasure is hidden exactly there. It is known to exist, but the location has not yet been confirmed with absolute certainty. That's why we can only speculate at the moment, but it's highly likely that the One Piece treasure is actually located on Laugh Tale; otherwise, it would somewhat defeat the purpose.

At that point, we'll just have to wait for the heroes to arrive on Laugh Tale to confirm our suspicions, and since the story is indeed coming to an end—it's currently in its final saga—we know that the mystery of the One Treasure in Pieces, as well as Laugh Tale Island, will be solved sooner rather than later. From what we know so far, Laugh Tale will likely be the location of Gol D. Roger's hidden treasure.
