Regulus Corneas was an Archbishop of Sin of the Witch Cult, representing Greed, and was the main antagonist of Arc 5. He was killed by Subaru, Natsuki, None, Emilia , and Reinhard van Astrea during Arc 5.
Regulus is described as having an average appearance, with shoulder-length white hair and golden eyes. He wears a blue shirt with vertical stripes, a white coat with gold trim, white trousers, white shoes, and white gloves.
Regulus is very selfish, but he tries to deny his selfishness, believing himself to be altruistic. He tries to justify his selfishness by blaming others. He becomes angry with people who go against his opinions, accusing them of "violating his rights."
History
Before becoming Archbishop of Sin, Regulus lived with his family. He received the Greed Witchcraft Factor at some point and used its power to kill everyone in the country he lived in, including his family.
While in Priestella, Subaru and Emilia encounter Regulus on the street, after which Regulus decides that Emilia will be his 79th wife. Later, Regulus stops Sirius from killing Emilia and kidnaps Emilia with the intention of taking her to the church to be married. He is later confronted by Reinhard van Astrea and Subaru, where he threatens to use his Authority to kill all of his wives if they attack him. Emilia responds by creating an ice barrier to protect them. However, Regulus grabs Emilia by the neck and demands that Reinhard allow Regulus to hit him once without Reinhard protecting himself. Reinhard agrees, after which Regulus instantly kills him, but Reinhard is not dead for long, as he uses his Divine Phoenix Protection to revive himself. Regulus continues to fight them, using his Authority to protect himself from their attacks while they try to find his weakness. They soon discover that he shares his heart with his wives, which they counter by having Emilia freeze all of his wives, while Subaru uses Invisible Hand to break Regulus's heart, rendering him unable to protect himself from attacks. He pleads for a one-on-one fight, which Reinhard accepts and quickly knocks him to the ground, severely damaging his body. Regulus attempts to fight back, but accidentally destroys a stream, causing water to flood the hole he was in, causing him to drown.
Relationships
Pandora - Regulus treats Pandora as his superior, in contrast to her self-centered personality, and refers to her as "Pandora-sama".
Petelgeuse Romanée-Conti - Regulus and Petelgeuse knew each other as members of the Witch Cult. Regulus did not think highly of Petelgeuse, repeatedly calling him "abominable." Regulus betrayed him by bringing Pandora to the elven village in Elior Forest where Fortuna and Emilia lived.
Emilia - Regulus finds Emilia very attractive, so much so that he vows to marry her the first time he sees her.

Authority of Greed - This authority is primarily manifested through an ability called Time Stillness. Regulus can prevent the flow of time from affecting him, affecting anything he wears, anything he touches, or even his breath. Targets of this ability cannot be affected by outside forces, and any attacks against the user in this state are negated. However, Regulus is still able to interact with the rest of the world with increased efficiency. For example, a wave of Regulus's hand can cut through anything in his path, air released from the stillness causes shockwaves, and thrown gravel acts as inescapable shots. The difference in time flow also allows him to travel at extremely high speeds during normal times. This ability puts a strain on Regulus's heart, as it also stops and can be fatal if used multiple times.
Little King is an ability associated with the Authority of Greed that bypasses the weakness of an object's Stillness of Time . It allows Regulus to fuse his heart with a person in their kingdom, which in practice is any woman Regulus has confirmed as his wife. Destroying the fusion places the burden back on Regulus without any other discernible effect. No other specific conditions or area-of-effect limitations are currently known for this ability.
