Rin Shima is a quiet girl who prefers to camp alone. However, she is often seen riding her Yamaha Vino moped.

About Rin Shima: Background

She was born on October 1st. Influenced by her grandfather, she began camping during the winter of her freshman year of middle school. She has a lot of experience and knowledge, but prefers to camp alone and explicitly chooses to camp during the winter off-season. Before meeting Nadeshiko Kagamihara, she had never gone camping with another person. For this reason, she chose not to participate in the outdoor activities club.

Although at first glance she appears awkward and introverted towards her loved ones, she occasionally jokes with them and teases others. She also communicates easily with the members of the outdoor club and is even very close friends with them. Their closeness is demonstrated by the fact that she calls all her friends by name.

About Rin Shima: Abilities

One of Rin's strengths is her extensive knowledge and experience with camping. Her expertise comes in handy in case of trouble and allows them to camp safely. Initially, she started camping by loading her luggage onto a bicycle. However, after obtaining her license, she now uses a moped and travels to different prefectures. Before meeting Nadeshiko, she usually only ate instant noodles, but after seeing her delicious food, she started cooking at her camps.

Rin can also carry heavy loads on her bicycle and moped. She can carry a box full of books (approximately 15 kg) without difficulty, and it is likely that she also has immense stamina.

Although she was initially a loner, Rin began interacting with different people and making friends. The beginning of these changes came when she met Nadeshiko.

Nadeshiko Kagamihara

Nadeshiko Kagamihara and Rin first meet near Lake Motosuko. She finds Nadeshiko in tears after oversleeping and being abandoned by her family with no way to contact her. Rin then gives Nadeshiko some curry noodles, and in return, Nadeshiko cooks a hot pot for Rin. This is a turning point for Rin as she begins to make new friends and she also begins to enjoy cooking at her camps.

Ena Saito

The two are very close friends and constantly text each other when Rin is camping. Ena is the reason Rin agrees to go camping with the others. Before this and meeting Nadeshiko on her camping trip, Rin had never camped with others.
