Rin Tohsaka Fate/Stay Night - Nendoroid
Fate/Stay Night is a visual novel by TYPE-MOON that introduced the world to the Fate series franchise. Although it had humble beginnings, the Fate series is now one of the most popular multimedia franchises in Japan, spanning numerous games, manga series, and anime adaptations. However, throughout its countless iterations, Rin Tohsaka from Fate/Stay Night remains one of the most popular characters in the entire franchise. This has led to countless merchandise based on her character. One notable example is Good Smile Company's Nendoroid figure line, which announced a second wave of the original Nendoroid Rin Tohsaka titled "Nendoroid Fate/Stay Night Rin Tohsaka (Re-run)" in May 2020.

This particular Nendoroid is based on Rin Tohsaka's appearance in the original Fate/stay night visual novel. Rin is depicted wearing her signature outfit: a long-sleeved red turtleneck with a silver cross on the chest, a black pleated skirt, knee-high socks, and her hair tied up in twin tails. As with many other figures, this Nendoroid comes with several additional interchangeable parts for further customization. These parts include additional expressions, such as those of determination and timid frustration. Other accessories include a pair of glasses, Rin's sword Azoth, the jeweled sword of Zelretch, and other magical effect parts.

About Rin Tohsaka
Rin Tohsaka is a major character in Fate/stay night and Shirou Emiya's main love interest in the Unlimited Blade Works route of the game.
About Rin Tohsaka: Background
Rin Tohsaka was born into a line of powerful mages known for their use of jewel magic. After being chosen to inherit her family's knowledge of magic, she was put under a great deal of pressure to hone her abilities as a mage and succeed in her endeavors. This eventually led her to become something of a perfectionist with an incredibly competitive personality. Outside of her life as a mage, Rin also attends Homurahara School with Sakura and Shirou. Most of her peers see her as a bossy and aggressive honor student, though she also has a kind and sympathetic side to her personality, especially when it comes to Shirou. In Fate/stay night, Rin summons Archer, much to her frustration, as she intended and expected to summon a Saber-class Servant.
About Rin Tohsaka: Abilities
As a member of the prestigious Tohsaka family, Rin possesses exceptional magical skills and is one of the few mages who can use the magic of all five elements. In addition to having access to a wide range of different spells, she also masters the Tohsaka family's specialty: jewel magic. This technique allows Rin to store magical energy in jewels to create items with various uses depending on the type of gem used. Some examples of this technique include creating familiars with an amethyst, manifesting blinding lights with an obsidian, casting fire spells with a ruby, and draining a target's magical energy with a sapphire.
Other important characters in Fate/stay night
As one of the main characters in Fate/stay night, Rin has relationships with many different characters throughout the story. That said, some of the most notable relationships she has are with her ally and love interest, Shirou Emiya, and her younger biological sister, Sakura Matou.
Shirō Emiya
Shirou Emiya is the protagonist of Fate/stay night. At the beginning of Fate/stay night, he is nearly killed by another Servant but is found and saved by Rin. Although he has virtually no abilities as a mage, he eventually summons Saber, which forces him to participate in the Fifth Holy Grail War. Shirou was also the sole survivor of a terrible fire caused by the Fourth Holy Grail War. Shirou was spared because he was saved by Kiritsugu Emiya, who later became his adoptive father. Despite his little magical knowledge or energy, Kiritsugu taught Shirou some magic, allowing him to use reinforcement and projection magic. Although Rin enjoys bickering with him, the two eventually team up to overcome challenges together.
Sakura Matou
Sakura Matou Sakura was originally a member of the Tohsaka family and Rin's younger sister. However, after Rin was chosen as the successor to the family's magic, Sakura was adopted by the Matou family, a close ally of the Tohsaka family who needed a successor. Like Rin and Shirou, Sakura is also a student at Homurahara Academy, though she is a year behind the other two. Sakura is often considered a timid and fearful girl by her peers, but she is secretly subjected to torturous training by her adoptive family to make her a suitable host for the head of the Matou family, Zouken Matou. Despite losing most of her emotions due to a side effect of her training, she still harbors feelings for Shirou and is the main love interest in the Heaven's Feel route of Fate/stay night.
