Sabo vs. Imu: Who is stronger?
Sabo vs. Imu: Who is stronger and who would win in a fight?

One Piece is an anime that certainly has its share of strong and powerful characters. Some of these guys have fought in the series, others haven't, but regardless, we always find it interesting to analyze them in our comparisons. In this article, we'll be comparing two characters to determine which one is stronger. The first character we'll be discussing is Sabo, the "Flame Emperor" and a powerful member of the Revolutionary Army. The second character we'll be discussing is Imu, the mysterious leader of the World Government, who seems to be one of the most powerful characters in the entire series.
At this point, it's unclear how a fight between Sabo and Imu would end, as Imu's powers are largely unknown. His political power wouldn't be of much use in a direct one-on-one fight, and we still don't know how powerful his transformation is, or how skilled he is with his sword. Because of this, we simply can't determine a winner at this point, as we don't have enough information to go on, so we have to put this one as TBD.
The rest of the article will focus on comparing the two selected characters from One Piece. You will learn all about Sabo and Imu's abilities, but we can't use our usual category system because we lack information on Imu and her abilities, so we will simply present both characters so you can see for yourselves the information we have. Ultimately, based on what we have presented earlier, we will give our final verdict on who is stronger.
Sabo is currently known as the "Flame Emperor."
Sabo has demonstrated exceptional agility in addition to his physical powers and abilities. When he dented the barrels of numerous Marines and successfully parried Bastille's sword with one hand, he stated that his fingers were as strong and resilient as a dragon's claws. He appears to have the strength to effortlessly defeat a Marine Vice Admiral like Bastille.
After consuming the Mera Mera no Mi, formerly Ace's Devil Fruit, Sabo gained strength and engaged Admiral Fujitora in combat. However, as the battle progressed, the admiral continued to appear unharmed while Sabo began to show signs of injury, though the fight was eventually stopped in his favor. He was later able to defeat Jesus Burgess, the leader of the Blackbeard Pirates' First Fleet, without sustaining any damage.
Sabo is capable of using Observation Haki, despite the fact that canonical evidence of his ability in this area is sparse. He sensed Luffy's declining Haki in Dressrosa while engaging Doflamingo. Sabo demonstrates the ability to use Armament Haki during his fight with Burgess. He was able to completely shatter the Corrida Colosseum while imbuing his fists with Haki, demonstrating the strength of this ability.
Imu is one of the biggest enigmas in the series
As everyone knows, Imu is the mysterious leader of the World Government who sits on the empty throne. And while he looks like an oversized mop or broom, he's actually a little guy wearing a large crown, and we've only seen his silhouette so far. He seems to know even more than the Five Elders and is the only person the five guys answer to.
Unfortunately, we know almost nothing about his powers and abilities. We know that, like all the World Nobles, he has a lot of political power and influence, but since he rules in the shadows and no one except the Five Elders knows him, we assume he has more influence than them. He also controls the powerful weapon that destroyed Lulusia, a weapon created by Vegapunk, but we don't know how or when he will be able to use it.
We know he has his own sword, but we have no idea how skilled he is at wielding it, so we can't say anything here. He also seems to be able to kill flowers, but this ability is also a mystery. Recently, we've also seen that he can transform into a gigantic, humanoid, beast-like creature capable of consuming fire; in this form, he also has a sharp tentacle-like thing with which he injured Sabo.
The source of this power is unknown, so even if it could injure Sabo, we don't know if it would defeat him in combat. We assume more of its powers will be revealed later in the series.
It is impossible to determine who would win in this fight.
As we said, it's impossible to determine the winner of this duel. We know many of Sabo's powers, and we know from what he's done in the series and from the World Government's comments that he's become a threat to them, meaning he's become a very powerful character and someone who can cause problems for the bad guys; being labeled a threat by the World Government is always a good reference in terms of powers and reputation in the series.
On the other hand, Imu is a complete enigma. Sure, he wields enormous political power and controls Vegapunk's powerful weapon, but that wouldn't be of much use in a direct confrontation. We have no idea how skilled he is with his saber, and while his transformation into a strange monster seems powerful, it remains to be seen whether it's simply a powerful transformation or an actual monster. We know the beast can consume fire, which could be an advantage against Sabo, but we simply don't have enough to go on.
Therefore, we have to consider this one TBD, as we assume more of Imu's abilities will be revealed later in the series.
